What does it mean to be skeptical, or a skeptic? Some people believe that skepticism is denial or rejection of new ideas, or worse, they confuse "skeptic" with "cynic" and think that skeptics are a bunch of grumpy curmudgeons unwilling to accept any claim that challenges the status quo. Nothing could be further from the truth. Skepticism is a provisional approach to claims. It is the application of science to any and all ideas-no sacred cows allowed. In other words, skepticism is a method, not a position. Ideally skeptics do not go into an investigation closed to the possibility that a phenomenon might be real or that a claimant might be right. When we say we are "skeptical" we mean that we must see evidence before we believe.

You won't find it on the net either. It comes only to a select few, it well it kinda chooses you, you have no choice over it, it does what it wields you to do. There's more about it too but i think i have to go so i'll post later.

I believe in magic, yes, and frankly I don't care whether you say it magic or magick just so long as you don't overpronounce the K like some people to make it explicitly obvious that it's there.
I've always been interested in Wiccan stuff. It's the kind of religion that I might actually like to be a part of.
Me, music is magic and so are days, any one out of 365, and so are people and smiles and wonder.

AS one who has studied several forms of the old methods, I've never heard of it at all and I've done searching on three continents.
If you'd care to share I'd be more than willing to listen.

Loving Spoonfull? lol Dont think my mom would know what that is...unless its like Rock and stuff, otherwise she doesnt know

I would be glad to try and help with any questions about Wicca. I know some things, and it really irritates me when people give into stereotypes about Wiccan beliefs. I looked up alot about it in the past because for a little while I was seriously considering converting to it. They have some awesome beliefs! I still might one day...maybe when I dont plan on talking to anyone in my family ever again...lol

I would be glad to post the sites! Just to find them...lol

These are a few reliable sites. Not exactly what I was looking for, but they follow the same pattern.

http://www.witchs-brew.com/wbrew.html
Good for meeting other Wiccans, very informative.

http://www.pagansunite.com/
VERY VERY correct site, TONS of info

http://www.witchvox.com/
My example of what Elvishfaerie probably found. NOT right. These NeoPagans as they call themselves are looked down upon. And as a warning, they wont let you use the back button to leave the site. *sigh* WHY PPL!!!

http://geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/1517/index1.html
This is the closest thing I can find to one of the sites I was talking about. I cant find the other one, but this one really tells you the basic beliefs.

Some little quotes to back me up, and add to what has already been said.

Quote:
Wiccans all follow this basic tenant: Do whatever you want to do as long as you harm none. Wiccans also believe in the three fold law of return. This law simply states that anything you put out such as magic, you receive times three. Therefore, a Wiccan would never cast a negative spell, for if they did it would come back on them three times as strong.
Quote:
Because Wicca is a religion free of any central dogma, I can only speak in generalities about its beliefs. Wicca, like many religions, recognizes Deity as dual. It worships both the God and the Goddess. These deities are equals, loving and warm, not detached living in heaven but omnipresent throughout the universe. Wiccans do not believe in or worship Satan. They generally believe that all evil originates with human kind and is not the production of the devil. Many Wiccans believe in the doctrine of reincarnation. They believe that humans posses souls as do animals and elements. Wicca is a religion that utilizes magic and magical ritual. Much as Catholic priests use magical ritual to transform wine into the blood of Christ. Prayer is a form of magic used to commune with Deity. Magic is simply the use of naturally occurring energy to produce change either in one's self or the external world. There is nothing supernatural about magic. Wiccans believe in free will and that humans have full control of and responsibility for our lives. Our weaknesses and miss deeds are not blamed on some evil deity
Also, something I remember from one of the sites I used to have the addy to, people often connect Wicca with satanic beliefs because the God often is represented as a green man with horns. People believed that this resembled the Chritian Satan, hence why people believe Wiccans are of the Devil.
