Yeast.

Good bread needs yeast.

I just bought my Christmas tree! If you all were wondering...
Have we figured out who Evil Santa is yet?

Some of us have, but Evil Santa seems to have a bit of an identity crisis.

Not yet. We may never know for sure...

On the contrary, I like it a lot . It just didn't seem like the kind of word you'd use . You're always so precise with language...

Of course, words evolve a lot. "Dude" is no longer a "bum" word used between surfers and pot smokers (who are often one and the same), and in fact I find myself using it quite a lot. It's used between guys to affirm a sense of comraderie . That is, in my experience.

Did anybody ask me who I was, did they? All of you are just a bunch of poopy pigs. And yes, I will steal the candy in your stockings for this. I may even steal the coal.

Earniel, may your chocolate melt over the fire of Mt. Doom and be lost forever.

Say, Evil Santa, what exactly do you do on your long holiday? After all, you can only be evil during Christmas.

Let me guess: you sell flowers in Elvenpath...

When I don't have all-year-round work messing up holidays, I spend my time in the basement of a prison in Mordor, reading Schopenhauer.

Who's maintaining the prisons in Mordor, these days? Haven't they gone condo?

If they are anything like Dutch prisons, then yes, they have

It's been too long since you've been in here, silly Hector! You need punishment. What can I think of? I do want to get something out of it myself of course...

Well, no. Most of them are still rock cells, complete with one steel-barred window and resident rats.

Mordor Prison Management is in chaos these days, and most of the time it's the managers who wind up in prison, while the prisoners are being elected to management positions.

See, but that sounds like a good system, to me.

Inmates run the asylum, and managers in prison.

Can't make a more equitable system than that.

You want me jailed?
But then again, I might like prison IF it has an extensive library and a few puzzles...

In Ibsen's play "Peer Gynt", Peer comes to the asylum in Cairo, where the patients have just declared themselves sane and locked up the managers. There are a few episodes of madness - but I won't tell them here, not to give Evil Santa any ideas.

What, you don't believe in an Evil Santa Claus? Your parents were "realists" and tried to raise you not to believe in "fairies" either, is that it? Well I got news for you pal!

I didn't give you the actual ideas, though. You've got to make the effort and read the play for yourself to find them
