I hate making life decisions. See, I have (almost) a master's degree in Irish History and Politics. Which is great. But there aren't any jobs in it. The job market is so tight right now and I just can't find any type of work in my field. So I'm thinking of going to law school. It was always one of my options, and I'd come out qualified for jobs (instead of just more school), but I'm a little nervous. Comments?

How long will Law School take? And what would you do about your Masters? Will you finish it part-time?
Can you afford to go to Law School? Would you actually like being a lawyer or whatever in that field? Is it quite certain you'd be able to get a job or are you just guessing? Try making a list of the pro's and the con's objectively and then another one subjectively. Write them out and compare those and you'll have your answer. Most of the time. There's no way of becoming a professor or something in that field? Good luck!

Law school is ferocious expensive. REALLY.
Become a paralegal, which is employable, and get a job. Then you can decide to starve in pursuit of a law degree, if the idea still excites you and you inherit money.

Hehe, well thanks to those who have wished me early happy birthdays
I got the automated message from Entmoot this morning so that was nice.So far been an eventful birthday morning... up just before 8, birthday crumpet and tea, and then to the emergency dental place with the fiance to see about his problem... and then to the pharmacy for his prescription... And now I am tired and I am going to lay down for a birthday snuggle and then eat cake... but I'll be back later!
