Happy for my sister and brother-in-law: they're going to Mongolia for her 50th birthday to see the solar eclipse! She's always wanted to see a total eclipse (so have I!) and she's heading to Mongolia to do it!

I'm going to visit my youngest, 10 week old, cousin! ^_^
And I don't have a cold, so I get to hold him as well. *dances a happy dance* With my other cousin, I had a cold and that was right before I went to Japan, so I never really got to hold him as a baby. His name is Finn. Very unusual name.

I went in for my advising appointment, and I'm very happy: If I can stay on track, I'll be graduating in three and a half years. If I can get some extra work done over the summers, I might be able to shave it down to two and a half/three years. I'm not gonna kill myself to do it, though.
So I'll probably be graduating when I'm just turning 23, which is okay with me. It gives me more time to take voice lessons while my voice matures. I also came clean to my mom about how many classes I've failed/withdrawn from over the years, and she took it pretty well. I plan to 'confess' to my dad tonight... I don't have to, considering that I've had them completely fooled for three years... but I think it's the right thing to do. I think my dad will be okay with it too. They know I've completely turned myself around since becoming a music major, and now I'm headed in a better direction. Now I just have one rather painful thing to do today, and that's only if I can get a hold of the person who I need to talk to. :-/ Not looking forward to that, but it needs to be done, and it'll relieve some of my stress once it's over. |

It's been a good day.
I finished my experiments (I should have all the data I need for my master's thesis now.. Scary. X), made bread and cookies, I've been swimming a few times today and in 15 minutes I'm going out to Furuskär, an island not too far away from here (it's still part of the nature reserve area) to spend the night. Tomorrow morning we'll get up at 4 a.m. to watch ants fly.. 8) I'm naturally taking my camera and tripod with me. The only not-so-thrilling thing about today was that Ika left. She kept me sane this past month, bringing just that little extra abnormality that I need. Miss her dearly already, but at least I'll see her in a month or so - and then we'll be neighbours. Whee! But now I'm off to Furuskär to celebrate finishing my experiments! 8D
