Sorry to hear, Lady MM. Thankfully, I have only experienced a handfull of migraines, and none in the last year or so.

It's terrible, the moment you realize you're in for a good eight hours of migranical bliss.

That's right, it is not a word.

She and I would sometimes, repeat "sometimes" settle for 8 hrs. of that but in truth some of mine last days.

I generally bully my migraines away, either through over-the- counter painkillers plus hotwater plus sleep or imitrex, before they reach the eight hour mark. It's generally a waste of time to grit your teeth and hope that it'll go away on it's own, it just means a longer period of time in which you won't be able to concentrate.

Speaking of not concentrating...

Been on a decongestant buzz all afternoon. Good in that it means no headache or being stuffed up, but is making me even more spacey than usual... if not downright sleepy.

Feeling sick and in pain vs. feeling like a boiled noodle in outer space...

*headdesks*

Blargh.

Well, I hit my head yesterday, leaning into the car...didn't think too much until about an hr. later- huge gash on top and "migraine city" was built before I saw it coming. Still fighting it, Rx x 2 and hoping it doesn't get worse.
I really understand what your going through Rev.

Ouch Spock!! I hate hitting my head, I have a nasty gash that I somehow got surfing off the cali coast south of Santa Cruz, never figured out how I did it, but 11 stitches later.....fortunately I don't have any good looks to ruin so no one notices [large sigh] I miss my board...and ex love of mine sold it when I wasn't looking to pay for some new clothes or something...

I may have repeat-a-ranted accidently...

Well, turned out to be a mini-migraine, I guess. Going on seven hours, but the Mybulen seems to have put a damper on the headache part. Uncomfortable, but bearable.

This was the first time I've actually taken pain killers for a migraine, come to think of it.

I got a call from my colleague at about 3pm, reminding me that I had promised to help him carry his TV to his car. Probably wasn't the greatest of ideas, but I helped him out. So after the pain and shaking and whatever, we got the 29" TV down the stairs and into his car. We drove to the shop so that he could take it in to the Service Department. I stayed in the car, but just couldn't get out of the sun. Reckon I was in the car for about an hour. Afterwards it took a good hour for me to drive home.

I actually think all that sun was good for me. I was so hot that the shaking/shivering stopped. It's usually the shaking that is the worst part, as it can be debilitating, and always leaves me with a sore neck and jaw, for a couple days. Today, probably only two.5 hours of it?

Heat does seem to help migraines. I always used to take a hot bath and stick my head underwater for as long as I could hold my breath. I suppose sitting out in the sun for a while would have a similar effect.

Of course... too much heat just adds dehydration into the equation, and that's not at all good.

AAAAARG.....This medicine is killing me! Well, more like the meds and sickness combined. I cant keep anything down! And I have found the one substance that tastes better comming up than going down: Gatorade. Orange flavor.

I feel soo dizzy right now...and I have stairs to climb and test to take. This is murder. I feel somewhat better right now, but that is because I am sitting down. But this morning I fell down my stairs and gave meself a royal lump and gash on the head. Fortunatly I have lots of hair to cover it.

A reminder of the rules to which everyone agreed when joining the Entmoot:

There's the ignore list if you don't want to see certain people's posts. Are you talking about PMs? I think you can set it up to not get PMs from certain people. I thought the "have they read this PM" option was taken away, though.

Absolutely. What you do is you go to your User CP, and type in their member name in the "ignore" list, and then you can both block their PMs and not even have to read their posts at all; it'll hide their posts so you won't have to be aggravated by seeing their words. I had to do it myself a couple times over the past year.
