Finding the answer online is allowed (since there's no way to stop it), but personally I frown upon it.

(Why would the giver of a question tell us where to find the answer, anyway?)

The answer was given to you to find......it's up to you whether you want to use the resource or not. I mean the questioner should be able to say whether you're allowed to use internet sources or not. What i frown on is using internet resources WITHOUT the permission of the questioner.
