The Cafe is always the first place I check.

I used to hang out a lot in the Writers' Workshop, but I think it's pretty much been abandoned

Yes, though Hector still writes occasionally, but he mails it or puts it on FB nowadays.

It's eerily quiet, yes, but it was never really active either. I suppose only a small fraction of mooters write and continue to do so to today. Finding time for it has become increasingly difficult for me and I can count the stories I've written in the past few years on one hand.

I used to put my stories on Elfwood, but the site has been in disrepair so long that I actually ended taking down my best work and didn't post anything newer. The site's been revamped since then, but it doesn't feel right anymore.

I have joined a writing forum a while ago and they have a private rather than a public forum for sharing one's writing. I find I tend to prefer that nowadays. And it has made me concious of the fact that I like to have my non-fanfic writing associated with me, not my Entmoot identity.

I've recently started using WattPad. It's mostly fanfics with a few original works. Since Acalewia was taken on one of the writing sites I used to be a part of, I since been using another handle.

According to the "New Posts" feature, I was last here sometime early in April 2011. That tells me just a tad bit more about how insane the last few years were (and likely how forgetful I am as well). While helping Josh spring clean, I came across my collection of Tolkien books for the first time in quite some time, and naturally that led me on another journey (as that activity tends to do) in which I ended up here. Not sure what to say; perhaps a good start might be something along the lines of what's gone on since early 2011. There's the long story version, and then the short story version, the latter of which would likely leave out a bit of essential context. But I'll give the short version a shot.

So yes, we're still alive, indeed better than in 2011. My sister doesn't do too much online in recent times, and works at the same hospital her husband does. They were married almost four years ago. I became an aunt as of August of 2011. The one thing that my sister does do online is this Elder Scrolls-related story in which her, Josh, myself, and a few others participate. That's been around since early-2010. Now, we only post in it once every month or so. It was really two stories, the first of which ran for two years. The second one started in mid-2012 sometime and has been somewhat neglected in the last six months, mostly because we've all been busier even than usual.

Josh and I haven't taken a real vacation in four years, so we're getting ready for that. In the mean time, we've been playing a bit of Terraria, getting a kick out of trolling one-another in various ways as we dig downward looking for ore and other items. Oh, and there's the spring cleaning too, although I mentioned that.

That was the (heavily) abridged version of the last four years, or at least as abridged as I could make it.

Well, there's the twins and one more girl. The twins are (almost precisely) 6 1/2 and the youngest is only slightly more than half that. That's going to pretty much be the limit.

I'll try to be around here a bit more consistently, you know, instead of once every 4 or so years. Has it been that long? I know it has, but it sure doesn't feel like it.
