Well, we're officially on break until September anyway. Too many people are on leave. So you all have a month to relax and recover from the holidays and get back some inspiration and motivation for the game in September.

I just don't like to think of fighting in a bar, so not much chance that Aerin will even BE in the bar at all. She doesn't particularly hold with drinking.

Thankfully not much has happened. Been too busy dealing with problems in the family, instead of being on vacation, plus the cold spread to about 50 different people, all of whom I know. Amael got it far worse than I did, though mine lasted longer. Her sister got it too. As it spread it seemed to affect people more and more. For me it was one of the most annoying things I ever went through. I didn't go five minutes without blowing my nose.

So all that vacation we were going to get in...never ended up happening, which sucked. When all's said and done, I'll be glad just to get back to work, get back into the routine, and then things won't be so confusing anymore. I'll get my motivation back and I'll see about getting Amael and her sister back to this site.

I've been placed on medications for a variety of depression-related problems. There has been some affect, but it's only marginal up to this point. You know that it's right how it is written - when the Elves never age but the world around them ages terribly (and man has it ever, ugh), that's the staging grounds for a lot of grief. The world of years ago was a place where you could actually walk and walk for maybe a year without seeing a hint of civilization, or any of Morgoth's creations. Now anywhere I see someone acting like they're either a rock star, a Britney Spears wannabe, or a rap "singer", I realize that Morgoth's creations surround us all, and in numbers that are unfathomable. When will people someday learn to be themselves, and become secure with who and what they are, as Iluvatar, the Eldar, and all of nature intended? The old times were simpler.

^ I think I should probably put that in a post somewhere, or something along the lines of that.

September is always a nicer month, it's more mild and vacation for me lasts till the close of that month. It's one of the longest vacations I've had in decades! But it's mostly been a lot of running around. In March we moved to where we are now, and part of my reason for moving was to get away from some old memories...and some not so pleasant people. One of them found out my phone number this past month, and has been an annoyance. Fortunately there is one good thing about the age we live in - some phone services allow you, the customer, to actually block certain phone numbers from calling you. I have a list of 7 phone numbers blocked now - I love controlling my phone service from the web.

And all besides that, I've been getting into the Castlevania series - particularly Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I have about 75% of the game completed. The bad thing about good games like that is that they actually have an ending, and a limit to how far you can explore. I'd like to see a side-scroller game for the PC come out someday, for Castlevania, where you could make custom maps, items, weapons, and so forth for new levels so the fun can keep on going.

And yep, besides that too, I've done a lot of swimming as there is a community pool just a half mile away. What I find confusing is that most people around here get there by driving to the pool. My wife and I walk. That's one of the things I've seen disappear from the world of old - technology replaced our arms and legs for the most part.

Well I've rambled on long enough. I'm usually this talkative. Amy and I spent hours today talking about politics, the world, and subjects that ranged from alternative energy sources to what we were going to eat the next day. When we can do that in Elvish, then it will be very interesting.
