My goodness, I'm fagged (to quote Lydia). I've been to the graduation ceremony of many of my classmates. It was fun, but also really really tiring.

Mari can have her rain; I'll thank thunder and lightning, thankee very much. Haven't gotten as much as I might have hoped up here.

That was the one thing I missed in California; no real storms! Just long drizzles.

That's one of the few things I like about Arizona - we get real storms! And we have a great covered back patio to watch them from.

Hector helps Tessar up onto the roof the castle.
Tessar: “Thank you!” he makes to draw his sword.
Hector: “Wa-wa-wait-wait until you’re ready.”
Tessar: “Again, thank you.” he walks over, somewhat winded, to a ruined wall and sits down.
Hector walks to the side and leans onto a wall. Tessar settles down and takes off his boot and empties it of pebbles.
Tessar: “I do not mean to pry, but you don’t happen to have six fingers on your right hand?”
Hector: “You always begin conversations this way?”
Tessar: “My father was slaughtered by a six-fingered man.
Hector lowers his boot and raises his perfectly normal five-fingered hand.
Tessar looks down and motions positively. “Was a great sword-maker my father. When a six-fingered man appeared and requested a special sword my father took the job.” he gets up and draws his sword and weighs in his hands.” …mumbles. Before he was done.”
Hector reaches out and takes the sword examining the excellent workmanship and quality of the sword.”Ive never seen it’s equal.” he hands it back to Tessar.
Tessar: “The six-fingered man returned and demanded it, but he wouldn’t pay one tenth of the promised price. “ he returns his sword to the scabbard.”My father refused and without a word the six-fingered man slashed him through the heart. I love my father, so naturally I challenged his murderer to a duel. I failed. The six-fingered man left me alive. But he gave me these.” He shows two even scars on each cheek.
Hector: “How old where you?”
Tessar: “I was eleven years old. When I was strong enough I dedicated my life to the study of fencing, so the next time we meet I will not fail. I will go up to the six-fingered man and say “Hallo, my name is Tessar. You killed my father, prepare to die.”
Hector: “You’ve done nothing but study sword-play?”
Tessar: “More pursuit than study, like. “ he sits down by Hector’s side.” You see I cannot find him. It’s been twenty years and I’m starting to loose confidence. I just work for Jonathan to pay the bills. There’s not a lot of money in revenge.” he hangs his head in dejection, Hector does the same.
Hector gets up. “Well, I certainly hope you’ll find him someday.” he turns to face Tessar as he gets up.
Tessar: “You ready then?”
Hector: “Whether I am or not, you’ve been more than fair.”
Tessar, drawing his sword: “You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.”
Hector: “You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.”
Tessar, nodding affirmatively.”Yay again.”
The two makes ready for the duel, swords at high point. Blades clash briefly and Hector avoids a vicious slash to his face and they circle eachother. Blades clash again and Hector reciprocates Tessar vicious slash by repeating the move on him. A bout of excellent swordmanship, the opponents smiling at eachother, comes next.
Tessar: “You’re using Bonetti’s defence against me, ahh!”
Hector: “I thought it fitting considering the rocky terrain.” he gets up on a rocky wall. The intense flash of blades continues as he retreats and Tessar follows him up on the ruined wall.
Tessar: “Naturally, you must suspect me to attack with Cappaperra.”
Hector: “Naturally. But I find it typical that Canzaza Cantaterra. Don’t you?”

A slash from Tessar’s whirling blade and Hector jumps down from the wall and down onto the level ground below.
Tessar, rushing towards the drop: “Unless the enemy has studied his Agrippa!” he then makes a whirling flip through the air and lands behind Hector, who turns to face him.”Which I have.”
The duel continues, neither party getting the upper hand on the other, they are eachother’s equals in this meet of masters at swordmanship. Another vicious slash and Tessar skips back a step to a lower level.
Tessar: “You are wonderful!”
Hector follows him down and the blades clash again.
Hector: “Thank you. I worked hard to become so.”
Tessar: “I admit it. You are better than I am.”
Hector: “When why are you smiling?”
Tessar: “Because I know something you don’t know.”
Hector: “And what is that?”
Tessar: “I am not left-handed!”
As the blades swirl even more, Tessar switches to his right hand in move of pure perfection.
Hector retreats up a stair and Tessar follows him their blades only making brief contact and the amazing duel continues. But as Hector retreats further up the stair Tessar makes almost desperate lunges to reach him and a vicious slash from Hector causes him to take a step back momentarily. As they gain a upper story the whirl of blades recommences.’
Hector: “You’re amazing!”
Tessar: “I ought to be after twenty years.”
Tessar leans onto Hector on a lousily held together wall and the stones topples from it as Tessar presses Hector harder.
Hector: “There’s something I ought to tell you.”
Tessar: “Tell me!”
Hector, leaning on the collapsing top of the wall: “Im not left-handed either.” he makes with his blade elaborately showy moves before a couple of brief noisy fents occurs and he slashes viciously and this causes Tessar to skip back and Hector flings his blade in the air catches it with his right hand. The duel continues, but a rapid twist of Hector’s wrist and Tessar find himself without his sword. He looks down where his blade now lies and then back at Hector. He retreats down a stair followed by Hector’s threatening point swung in front of him. Tessar turns and throw himself in the air and catches a horizontal beam between two pillars and then he jumps, lands and fetches his blade from there it lies, making ready for the next bout. Hector throws his sword expertly and with great precision and it lands pointfirst in a pile of hay. Tessar looks up at him in surprise. Hector runs towards the stairs and also throws himself in the air and catches the same beam. He then do some gymnastic rotations around the beam and a flip and lands elegantly on the lower level. Gets up, grabs his sword and stands there with lowered point making ready for the next round of fencing. Tessar looks at him amazed at Hector’s gymnastical dexterity.
Tessar: “Who are you?”
Hector: “No one of consequence.”
Tessar: “I must know.”
Hector: “Get used to disappointment.”
Tessar: “Ok.”

The next round of this amazing duel begins. The blades whirl yet again and in an attempt at cleverness Tessar turns his back on Hector and whips his blade between his legs, a move that Hector deflects with ease. Tessar runs up the stairs and onto a higher level. Hector follows him.
The blades makes contact in brief fents and another twisting move disarms Tessar again and he turns and jumps down on a lower level again and as Tessar lands he catches his sword from the flight it made at the disarming. Hector, standing on a ledge, engages Tessar again, he then jumps down to level ground, the two indefatiguable combatants continue their tireless bout of incredibly excellent swordplay. As they switch places, Tessar, in desperation, begins to use a doublehanded grip, hammering at Hector, who easily deflects these moves. Tessar slashes the air, but Hector is not within reach of these desperate slashes. The blades briefly connects, but then Hector’s blade, in an amazing show of expert swordhandling, makes his blade whirl at exceptional speed. Tessar doesn’t stand a chance at lunging at him, desperate trying to deflect Hector’s whirling blade. In the end, Hector nicks Tessar cheek and easily taps his wrist and Tessar is disarmed again. Hector begins to circle Tessar , who lowers himself down on his knees.
Tessar: “Kill me quickly.”
Hector, walking around him: “I would sooner destroy a stained glass window as an artist as you yourself. However, since I can’t have you following me, either.”
Hector knock Tessar out with a quick tap of his sword Tessar’s head, who topples, unconscious.
Hector: “Please understand. I hold you in the highest respect.”
He runs off, after he grabs his scabbard and disappears down the ledge of the place of battle.

No way! That should happen every time that August 1 is a Sunday. Once every 7 years, on average.

On average, yes - and in practice often with two gaps of eleven years and then one of six years.

August will have August 1st on a Sunday next time in 2021.
