So, durinsbane 2244, is it TD's turn now, or what is your final verdict here? Inquiring minds want to know.

Then it was Gandalf battling those Nazgul. What else could it possibly have been? Northern lights? A distant thunderstorm? UFOs?

ok, though i doubt i'll be lucky enough to deal a blow such as the last one, what is the meaning of the word mithril? [the tie-in being that frodo gets the mithril coat and it saves his life, though i don't know if this can be found in the FotR, if not, i can give a different one]

The trivia question HAS to be directly gleaned from a passage or sentence contained explicitly in FotR; it cannot be something you've just thought of, even though that IS a good question. You've got to know exactly where to reference it to within the FotR. Just to make that clear. Now I'm going to go look through my book and try to find the answer to this question. But please make sure your questions are directly taken from within the pages of FotR, o.k.?

than no, i take it back, because it can't be found directly in FotR text, and i forfeit my turn to Lotesse for being very prompt and on-the-ball in this thread...
