I love Little Miss Sunshine! It doesn't really stand up to repeat viewings, unless you watch it again with a crowd of people who haven't seen it yet.

Yeah, it was very good.

Of course, if you just walked into it based on the title, it might have been a shock!

Like what?

Aliens (the second one) is even better, but with a different mood- more action/adventure than horror

3- not good
4- terrible

*possible spoilers for some*

Like.... what did the alien do with Dallas and Brett when it just killed the other people and left their corpses there? What made Ash "malfunction" and start spewing what can only be described as "robot milk"? How the hell did the alien grow up so quickly? Why was the alien reproductive process so unnecessarily complicated in the first place?

But I was very glad the cat survived...

I saw Eagle Eye last night. It was not good. It seemed somewhat promising until it devolved into the cliche
"a computer with artificial intelligence has become self-aware and is controlling everything is plotting to take down the government."

Though there were some unintentionally hilarious moments.

I did just that... >_<

Tonight I watched "The Lady and the Highwayman" with Hugh Grant. It was hilarious: the acting was bad, the story was terrible and the music was brilliant in its accompaniment.
The costumes looked very good though. Very pretsy, me likes. *drools at the thought of those dresses*

Just rented "Miss Pettigrew lives for a day" - very cute! Francis McDormand's expressions are just hilarious in the first (very long and extended) scene - from complete incompetence and resignation to "hey, I'm not so bad at this" to "I rock!" Goofy, fun movie, and some good old-fashioned romantic ideals at the end. Very worth renting for a run, relaxing evening. And the music is really fun!

I watched that on the plane trip home... I basically only watched it because I saw Lee Pace from Pushing Daisies was in it and I have a strange crush on him... but it was well worth it for Francis McDormand's performance..

I was a little underwhelmed by the ending... it just seemed to kind of end... but the costumes were fabulous... that's always a fun period to costume...

Yes, it was rather an abrupt ending, but I think that was part of the movie - we're talking about 1 day, basically. Anyway, I agree about Francis McDormand - she was great!

Is Lee Pace the guy that was in Gosford Park - the valet that killed the man?

edit - nevermind, he's not...

Then she found me with Betty Middler, Colin Firth and Helen Hunt. Quite alright.
Very calm film, though bit difficult to follow here and there.

I just saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall and it was kind of dumb. Rotten Tomatoes is no longer my movie yardstick when I'm trying to decide what to watch. I chuckled a few times, but meh. It wasn't great.

I also watched Baby Mama recently and it was pretty good. The alternate ending was better than the real one though.

Just got bak from seeing Saw V. It was your typical Saw movie, I guess. Except OHMYGOSH, you'll have to see for yourself. Dannnggg, I couldnt believe it. I think that it would have been a little better if I hadn't been getting all of the characters mixed up
