My beautiful first edition is 68 pages. Counting the word-by-word translations of Namarie and A Elbereth at the end.

If it's in Tengwar then I must be getting real good at reading it. Even if I stopped practising months ago due to lack of time. It looks like ordinary plain writing to me. Either that or you've changed it already.

I guess she didn't change it by the time you looked at it, eh?

Cass, what mode is it in? I can't read it properly because it's too small- all the tehtar are indistinguishable from one another. I only guess it's Quenya because you've put a vowel tehta over the first tengwar of one word. But then I see what looks like the word 'and'. If you want to do 'and'- Tolkien has a shorthand for that. It looks like one of those 'm' or 'n' lines over a 'd' tengwar. (You know what I mean by 'm' or 'n' lines, don't you?)

I can read it easily.
The font I got is from www.barrowdowns.com Go to the fonts section and download Tengwar Quenya. I know there is a shorthand for 'and', but it won't let me do write it.

It might be a different kind, I think there are three Tengwar Quenya fonts there. It's one of them anyway. My sig still looks fine to me.
What is the font called when you typed it in for your sig, Arien?

Well, I only have one Barrow-downs font on my computer, and I can see both of your sigs. It's just that Cassi's is much harder to read, due to size. Perhaps you have good eyesight, Cass, but I don't. Just ask RÃ*an when I tried to read her Tengwar earlier. (When she gets back soon)

Odd that. I can see the Tengwar in Arien's sig but not the ones in Cass's signature. Cass' signature is just plain English and fairly large at that, the letters are at least a centimeter each.

I do remeber that the barrowdowns had 3 different Tengwar fonts....I think mine is the first and it's called Tengwar Quenya (True Font)....I'm gonna download the other 2 soon so maybe I'll be able to see it then!

Theoden

I've done the same thing with the cirth, there are only about five other guys in my entire school who know how to write it.

I should try to download those fonts so I can see Arien's sig.... I think I tried once but it didn't work, like cass.

PS - hi Gamigar! Do you write in Tengwar, or just the cirth?

Hey eveybody!!!!!!!
Tengwar is so pretty!!! Yep, that's right. I have no new news. Anyway, how has everyone been? I learned katakana and hiragana. I tell you, if you had a problem learning tengwar, don't learn those. They are for Japanese by the way. I'm talking 5 symbols for almost every consonant. ka, ki, ku, ke, ko, etc.... There is a lot to learn. Anyway, I was drawing pictures of people and I wrote out there names on the picture, and it looked pretty decent. Aside from the fact that Tengwar is prettier than Roman alphabet (or cyrillic, or katakana or hiragana....) it just looks better on a picture. Especially a Tolkien related one! Ok well that's about all I have to say. I still wish I had a scanner....*sniff* Oh well. Well, take care RÃ*an and everyone else.

(um...sorry i'm pretty tired and am talking nonsense) ok bye! my favourite letter for today is "r". (the one that looks like a "y") It's so pretty!
