You guys have to learn to trust me. The water temperature is adjustable. Since the hose is unfrozen, I mean.

Now I'm all relaxed for some swell painting.

My perfect colors were on the sale shelf...along with several nice purples I didn't realize I needed. I think someone was having a little trouble deciding on a paint. Their indecision is definitely my gain.

Haha, I'm allergic to chlorids, so I can't swim in pools. I completely forgot how to swim. Even natural baths contain chlorids, though they say they don't. (so where is this rash coming from then, the salt? [/sarcasm])

I don't know which sounds better right now, hot tubs or painting. I could always paint in the tub...?

It is BOTH art and the painting of rooms. You'd be dazzled, I promise. The first play I ever did was in a theatre in an old mill. Someone had painted a tromp d'oeil set of shutters in a room where the cast waited for entrances. I was entranced. The whole experience, the pretty dress, the hot lights, the late nights, the soda pop, the icy entrance up a set of metal fire escape stairs, and that wonderful painting, where only your fingers could tell you that the cracks in the shutters and the spider wasn't real... it's all a whole that influenced me profoundly. The walls of my house are swirls of color.

In this case, I'm painting the inside of a new henhouse... and I haven't decided all that will be involved. Flowers, certainly.

I had art-classes for 6 years and all I managed to do was piss off my teacher profoundly with a discussion on what is art. Unfortunately, I managed to do this during the interview on my "thesis" which made up 50% of my grade...

Sis, that hot tub looks great! Makes me want to hop right in
By the way... henhouse.... does anyone ever get to see the inside other then the chickens?

Sometimes. It the depends on the cleanness of the tapwater I think. In Japan there are some chlorids in it, so I always took care not to drink it.
But what I meant was, here you have these so called Baths of Nature, that is often filled with salt water, or in very expensive cases with mineral water... or so they say. I went to one once and I can assure you that the water was NOT natural.
However, there are also baths claiming that title because their baths are in a "natural setting" (lots of bushes, constructed waterfalls etc.). Natural baths can thus refer to several things.

Sure. It's a fairly large building...8x12. Has nesting boxes, feeders, perches, etc, as well as a cupboard for supplies. Lovely windows. So I'll be there every day, topping off the water, collecting eggs and cleaning. (As well as visiting with the girls.) Needs paint (and is getting linoleum) just because that makes it easier to keep sanitary. But there's no reason not to be happy about it. I may wind up retiring into it, if I tire of chickens. some day.

The hot tub really is lovely. It's my break, and, this area not being Japan, it needs to be private. Mostly filled with rainwater, and fired by branches that need to be cleaned up, anyway. Highly eco.

Here's my bedroom wall I did in high school. It's not very good but, I had a lot of fun doing it.

Is that sakura? Did you paint it before or after Japan?

I painted it before Japan, otherwise I would've done a better job making it Japanese, lol. I got the idea from an anime I was watching (the Rurouni Kenshin OVA) where there was something similar on a sliding door with the same color walls as I already had and I just had to do it right away.

I have something similar on my door, with a waterfall on the background (And faeries flying around ) but mine is rather poorly done. Oh well.
But IMHO it looks Japanese enough!

They're chicks, or sometimes peeps. No roosters here, though, so no peeps. And probably no soup...they're friends. Lovely green and brown eggs, though.
