I'm heading off on Friday for a weekend with some of my friends - just the girls! Loads of fun - one of my favorites things in the world
 One of them has a cabin up at Big Bear Lake - it's lovely up there. We just do what we want and enjoy each other's company - total luxury!

I'm happy because I'm finally getting back my inspiration for science again.. And it's about time, since I have lots to do! Starting the sampling for my master's this summer, before that I'd like to have my Bachelor's degree.

Sunday+ good weather+ actually not having to do anything at the moment = pond maintenance. The newts have already arrived, and I saw the first frog today!
It's a subadult, so it must have hibernated. Our first definite resident frog! Wheeeee! Now all we need is for the toads to drop in, they're kinda late.
