I see what you mean, too. I just hate it when I come online, and no one is posting on Entmoot, and no one is posting on HVEL (what else is new), and no one is posting on Nurv's MST board (as usual) and no one has replied to any e-mail I might have sent, the list goes on.

I hate it when I come on line and there's like a dozen regular mooters on, and I'll be thinking "oh, good, people to talk to," but all they wanna do is read other people's posts without responding to any, or everyone's just debating on one of those theology threads. Beh. Well, not all days are like that. Thank Melkor.

LOL!! Man, I feel your pain! Went through some heinous computer problems myself a few months back, it's freakin' horrible when computers take a dump, isn't it! Take a deep breath and count to five. Last year I got so furious at one of my old computers (a really nice apple imac laptop) that I threw it into - not at, INTO - the wall a couple times. Stupid me. Good thing the hard drive survived, but I destroyed that poor laptop, just DESTROYED it. Computer problems can bring out the worst in me.

Hey, if the action isn't comin' to you, you gotta go to the action!

I've been around awhile, and things just seem to go in cycles - good threads and conversations, then dull stretches, then back to good threads, etc.

Hate to complain when there are people without homes right now.

But here in Pensacola, only 1/4 of our gas stations have any gas and the ones that do are pushing $3 a gallon!
We are planning to only use our cars for hubby's job and church....no Judo class for the kids and no going to the beach....or anything else for that matter.

Loteese you gotta chill (and I hate that expression).
Treedweller, we've got $2.89 for the middle and $3.01 for high test. Even with few trips to town, etc. the bill for gasoline is horrrrrrrendous and you can see the price increase in food over the past weeks has gone up dramatically. Oh, but we'll get lots of foreign aid to help us. hahahahahha

LOL, Spock!
Hubby and I had the same discussion last night about how the USA dishes out money to help other countries, but when something happens here the rest of the world is silent.

i read that venezuela's government offered up $1 million in hurricane aid... and we haven't exactly had the best relations recently... germany and france have also offered assistance... and many donations are coming from outside the US

I've got a vent. I'd like to know why jerseydevil's thread about the hurricane got ix-nayed, and then why he was "garnished" 50 post "points" for starting it? I would seriously like to know.

Oh, O.K., I see he got his 50 posts back. But still - I just wonder why his Hurricane Katrina thread got such an offended response; sometimes it seems "Big Brother" here on the moot is a touch too touchy....
