Lótiel, vær forsiktig med JD, han spiser europeere til frokost.
(Lótiel, be careful with JD, he eats Europeans for breakfast ) Los Vikingos sÃ* estaban guerreros, mas tambien comerciantes y pobladores pacificos. Vale.

JD: Ok, so you read it. I just didn´t comprehend it from your posts, since you seemed so certain of vikings being only rapists and killers. But of course, it´s more interesting for a discussion to leave out the uninteresting details to try and provoke us? |

As I was making kokosbollar (mums! ) I started wondering; what the he*l is that in english?
I assumed it wasn't coconut balls , which would be a direct translation. But after a while I got smart; there are dictionaries! Wise me. Yeah, wise is the right word for me. Now I forgot to tell you what is actually is! Stupid. But the correct word is snowball. Do you eat them?

Little songs/ poems
What songs or poems have you learnt, like nursery rhymes, or songs learnt while studying a language etc?
When I was smaller, my mum used to sing a song in Chinese that's about asking the moon for porridge. I've also learnt the Mandarin version of the ABC song, for the Pinyin phonetic alphabet (Since Chinese has no alphabet). We've learnt several songs for Indonesian and Italian too. Though I've never done French, we did learn this song: Frère Jacques, Frère Jacques, Dormez vous? Dormez vous? Sonnez les matines, Sonnez les matines Ding Ding Dong, Ding Ding Dong Last edited by Linaewen : 01-14-2004 at 06:04 AM. |

This is how it goes in Norwegian:
Fader Jakob, fader Jakob, sover du? Sover du? Hører du ei klokka, hører du ei klokka, ding dang dong, ding dang dong
