Clearing up.

After searching for my professor in vain and getting no info from the secretary (she only told me off for not coming in time), I learned my lesson (AVOID grumpy secretaries) and wrote an email to my prof himself, he responded in no time, saying I could find him on Monday after 14h. So, email is a useful thing, 'tis my friend

I still need to get into this form of communication, it's not yet the first thing to come to my mind when looking for someone... I didn't have to use the net much before entering uni.

we had our presidential elections today, and the current president (Tarja Halonen) got re-elected.

it was the second round of the elections. halonen got about 52% of the votes, whereas the other candidate, the conservative niinistö, got 48%. halonen has been talked about in conan o'brien's show several times these last few weeks.^^

And I finally got around to cleaning the room. Re-organized desk and bookshelf and a vacuumed rug are good things...

Getting that done made up for this morning when my roommate accidentally locked me out of the room and left with our RA ten minutes before I had class.

Happy - I have seen Strings yesterday. IMO, wooden puppets is a great idea, and this movie is a beautiful result.

Besides, I managed to sign up for most of the classes I wanted to (only one was full. I might try it again, though - maybe somebody backed out). Starting next Monday - can't wait!

i'm happy cuz though i may not have many true friends at all, God has blessed me with a few very good ones...and i'm veeerry happy about that haha ^.^ plus i had a great time just talking with my bf yesterday, he rocks w00t

Happy because its a weekend, and I'm lazing around all day and winter has left to be replaced by a blaze of sunshine, and birds I never knew existed are twittering like mad everywhere! Enough to send anyone's heart dancing!!!

I'm happy because Conan O'Brien is in Finland (he arrived today) and will meet our president, Tarja Halonen, who he resembles sooo much..XD (those who have watched his program know what this is all about..)

Wow. I'd like to live there. All we get here are the ricer cars burning out in front of the house, though I suppose friction can't make the street much hotter than the air temp today.

Actually, I haven't been outside yet, but the noisy, heavily travelled street known as Jackson is exceptionally bustling today.

I live in the Coachella Valley, twenty-one miles southeast of Palm Springs, California. It's a very hot place. Ricer cars are used to describe import cars that so-called " 'ghetto' " people spend more money on to make look as though they are fast than they spend making them fast, and then they drive them around like they're from Fast and Furious.
