If we were to spend several days together, I'd probably speak with the same accent in no time. I take those things over very fast. Which is good if it is a nice accent, but though I do like the Irish accent very much my current one isn't up to my standard

Well 'they' are wrong. Loving tackles do not hurt! I'm always careful! Do my squishing hugs might leave you a bit breathless... but you look cute with a red head, so you shouldn't worry about the temporary loss of breath.
Now what 'they' mean is that who wants to be pretty will have to suffer. That's a whole different thing. Do you understand now?

My theory is that the economy can't be as bad as they say, given what people will do at work.

Today when I stopped for fast food,a big manager went behind the counter and was doing people's work. He might have been from corporate, next door. And while he was doing that, handing out fries and trying to find out what happened to the nice man's ice cream...and in the middle of that, one girl took an empty cup out front to get herself a little soda or sumpin'.

What the Funicular?

If people aren't afraid to lose their jobs with this behavior, the economy isn't bad enough, maybe.
