Josh and sis, you both write too darn long, but you write well. The character Ingwionis seems to be less like a warrior and more like the Elven answer to Carl Sagan!!! Still, good work. Hopefully the rest of the story is as good as the beginning seems to be.

Earniel, kudos to you in giving Radagast something to do. In the books he didn't seem to get to do all that much. I'm glad to see some under-used classic characters getting the opportunity to finally do something!
I'll be making much shorter posts, for one.

You've got one heck of a good and mysterious character with Tabril! Can't wait when Tabril finally does give a straight answer! That'll be a hoot!

That all depended on who asked and how they did it. Branwyn managed not to provoke her.

She's actually trying to be *nice* now, in her own way.

Anything implying that they expected that she couldn't have come by it by honest means, would be a challenge to Tabril's honor - and not a wise move

Haha. It's funny because when Tabril first got wrangled into this quest by Haldis, she couldn't wait till she had the chance to leave. Now she's genuinely worried about the non-warrior members of our previously annoying Company. Hmm... Maybe this is what "the forest" had in mind? It in endearing, after all.

Maybe you're right, Midge...

Of course, she still wants to go home. And she still thinks they're annoying - only with the non-warriors, it's 'annoying, but in need of her protection.' There's more to the Kindi honor code than just getting offended by stuff.

Varna - absolutely right.

Just got off the phone with my mom who ended the conversation with "Don't get mad." Perhaps that should be the ending (and beginnning) line of every conversation with Tabril...

So... remind me again how we knew what Radagast just told us? It's been, what, a year since we wrote that part?

I'm pretty sure it's been even longer. I constantly have to go back and re-read to prevent contradicting myself.

Next time I make an RPG, remind me to make it shorter.

So let me refresh your memory: Waaay, waaay back in Dol Guldur, Aerin and Haldis found documents. Those documents were reports of an orc captain to Khamûl, the Ringwraith who was at that time in charge of Dol Guldur. In those documents (which Radagast has read partially out aloud) the orc captain reports having chased the few remaining Entwives East to the Iron Hills. There, at a four-day-distance from the river, they locked the Entwives up and placed an unspecified guardian to guard them. The document suggested the guardian may have been coerced by threats and is likely of the immortal variety since 'she' is expected to keep the Entwives penned indefinitely.

The post in question can be found here if you want to re-read the bit about what the documents said in full.

Psst. It's "reports", as I am sure orcs have very little rapport with just about anyone or anything.

I'm alive, and I just got back and it's been a few months since I was on das moot. So... I'm assuming my character is around somewhere? I may or may not post soon, depending if I can be arsed to re-read this whole new section of the quest to see what's going on and what I might have posted (If anything).

Darn, in Dutch it's 'rapport', I'm going to have to watch out for that one.

Your character is indeed still around, sane, he just has been silent. It would be fun if you could take him up again.

We say rapport in Norwegian too so its entirely understandably

I am pleased to say that my last exam is fait accompli and hopefully it went well. That means I can now divert some attention to writing in LLL again! And reading the old LLL post that Eärniel referred to I'm kinda getting motivated

It was before I joined - which I did in October last year, when Baru joined the Raft-elves while the rest of you were having the bar-fight

I guess it's our own fault for not writing it faster

Or mine for cramming so many places and encounters into this story.

Eh. That it's long is no bad thing. It's a good RP.

(and yes, hopefully we don't have any sort of rapport with orcs )

This is my first RP. I have no experience with any other kind. REMEMBER, YOU'RE SETTING A PRECEDENT!

I'm hoping it'll be a good experience for you then. It's pretty much a precedent for myself as well, considering this is the very first game where I'm on my own at the helm.

There may be more 'good times' to come. (Maybe not in bars, though... But still!)

Well, I was mostly talking about the length. I'm enjoying this one quite a bit.
