Ahh the Monks! God bless them for the gift of alcohol. No, its Irish whiskey I have stashed in my pocket. I've seen that bottle before but have never tried it. I just might have to since you suggested it. Heres a fun fact I learned today: Noah was the first person to get drunk in the bible!

Oh...By that temporary silence, I was beginning to think he was a basketball player, or a baseball player--doesn't matter, they're all the same!

Really; Noah was? How come Noah? You mean he was the first one recorded as having gotten drunk? You mean when he got drunk and was going to sleep with his daughter, or something; what was that story I can't remember now...

Never mind; I found it about Noah - he got drunk and was laying around in his tent with no clothes on. He must've been hammered.
" And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders and went backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. " Genesis 9 :20-25

yeah, I remembered him having a vineyard...
There was a restaurant here in my town, named Noah's, and there were all sorts of funny pictures in the entrance corridor, about Noah in his vineyard, tasting wine and all. And thanks for the coffee.

Now I gotta hit the hay. It's getting late, and I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. Ciao, tutti! Good night to my fellow Americans, and good morning to our European mooters!

All this talking about Noah makes me want a bagel. *checks phonebook for Noah's*
EDIT: Coincidentally, I've been trying to find my old 2-way radio, so I could listen to the NOAA broadcast to find out the weather for the Coachella Valley for tomorrow night.

The Kravens and the Lizard Girls, which are hominid female lizards who'd joined with the Kravens in getting rid of vampires, arrive at the Café after the emergency calls of the Cafe security.
"We heard u had an infestation that need taken care of." William Moorecombe, the head Kraven said to the Security Chief. "Thank you for arriving so promptly at my request." the grateful SC said. "We'll try to the make eviction of the vampires as quiet as possible." Mr Moorecombe Last edited by Grey_Wolf : 03-04-2006 at 07:08 AM. |

(several thousand more tentacles peek in the windows and doors) Sirrah, I am not a monster. I am an extra dimensional entity stranded in a rather wet location. And vampires give me the willies. It's all that damn facepaint and the insistence on not eating garlic. If there's one thing I can't stand it's people who eat bland food.
