I think it's an adult bird.. At least it's not very young. I think it was mostly confused by me standing there, looking at it with one big eye..

Who was your model? She's extremely expressive. My sister keeps trying to use me as a model for her art projects but I don't photograph that well .

The cute dog is Abigail, and her mother is a neighbor of mine. I just knit the sweater. Came out well, though.

The mushroom food is a variant on a traditional Christmas cake, called a "buche noel". It's a rolled sponge cake decorated to look like a log. Mine was a yellow type cake (usually it's all chocolate, or chocolate and hazelnut) with a whipped cream and chocolate ganache filling, covered with more chocolate ganache (that's the part that's sculpted to look like bark), chocolate molded leaves and meringue mushrooms (and shelf fungus). There are also sugar glazed fruits on the platter next...very popular, lol.

I always get my smiley count rejected, too.

Our dog, Binkie, me, our cute little tree (decorated by me 'cause no-one elses wanted to have a tree) and baby Jesus with his parents and the Wise etc.

I had to postpone Christmas dinner...but it's okay. My forethought had provided pizza during the rigors of Christmas Eve, and I was unwell in the afternoon, so people ate leftovers and we have a 'rain check". Is there a Dutch equivalent to that term?

And it isn't even my collection my collection is almost completely digital.
Binkie doesn't mind if you dress him up, we used to do it all the time. We even tied a mermaidtail to his tail once... he kept walking with his tail between his legs without trying to get it off. He is such a sweet pushover.
My sister took one bite and then decided it tasted too much like broccoli after all. In all honestly: I didn't finish it either. It just tasted... wrong. It wasn't broccoli, but it wasn't a muffin either...

Are you okay now? I'll make you hot lemonjuice with honey in the Teacup: that makes everyone feel better! (unless you don't like lemon... ) I can't think of a Dutch equivalent of "rain check" at the moment. I think we just say that we'll do it some other time, we have to "catch it up"(inhalen) later .

I take it as a warning not to mix health and holiday foods.

My oma breeds mini long-haired dachshunds. They're a great little dog.

I met her the day she came home. What a bitty girl. And she was the new one in a house that lost a real sweetie the year before, so we were all happy to see a new baby in the house. But the family is so nice, and I've been saving that pattern for just such an occasion. Haven't done a dog sweater in years, but I think I'll be adding it.
