YES!! WE HAVE A WINNER Well as close as we're going to get. Since no one got it in the right order, I award this to Serenoli.

In "Many Meetings" Frodo can't account why it's the 24th and Gandalf says...."well four nights and three days, to be exact."

Question:
How many people were invited to the dinner under the party tree at Bag End? Why was this paricular number chosen?

144 and the main reason was because Frodo's age (33) added to Bilbo's age (111) is 144.

YES! That's why it's Trivia. If you don't get it correct what's the point of a question. I awarded the answer to you because no one else had mentioned day/night.

Gee we're slowing down. I guess the approaching holidays are keeping people busy.

The next part is very similar to the part Mithrand1r gave, but if no body guesses it within the next 48hrs then Mithrand1r can post the next question.

I nominate "Orophin" to join Haldir to greet the visitors from the north.

If this is correct, I will need someone else to write the next question, since I will have limited access to the computer till thursday evening (EST, GMT-5).
