I've got about 5 lessons left to go with Quenya... where do you get good lessons for Sindarin?

I really want to learn how to speak some Quenya, or really any language, but I'm currently taking Italian, and I'm not sure if I can study both at the same time...

Heh... I can't exactly download it onto a library computer... so I'll have to wait 'til I get back to school next week...

You could always try to start learning, and if you start getting confused, stop. I personally am not aiming for fluency (at the moment, at least), but simply want to learn how to construct sentences in Quenya and know enough to be able to use a dictionary to fill in the rest... and I suppose I'm there now.

You can go here for a Quenya course, TD. It's pretty good... though it takes quite a bit of time to get through...
LM [edit] My computer won't support the Sindarin course... I'm going to have to try to find another one...

And I'm back.
Does anyone know any other Sindarin courses? My computer can't handle the formatting.

Well. Since I don't have time to learn Sindarin in any case, and probably won't for a while
Mana méra quetë Quenya? It's just four words, but still no dictionary.

Em wants me to post this. It's my own rather loose translation of Robert Frost's poem, Nothing Gold Can Stay:
Nature's first green is gold Her hardest hue to hold Her early leaf a flower But only so an hour Then leaf subsides to leaf So Eden sank to grief So dawn goes down to day Nothing gold can stay. Minya laiqua Eo laurëa ná Ansarda mapa ná. Arinya lasserya ná lótë; Mal er sië lúmessë. San lassë lanta lassenen Sië alcarë lantë nyérenen, Sië amaurëa ahyëa aurenna Munta laurëa vórëa ná. Falagar? You around by any chance? I'm not sure about the last words of some of those lines... the allative didn't seem likely... don't know what would work except the instrumental...

well first, is "lay" suppose to be imperative or optative or indicative? my view is that it's imperative and is speaking to "you" singular;so..."á caitat" next, "nin" is dative when you should use the accusative which is the same than the nominative but the final voyelles is long; so :"á caitat ara enyé" or "á caitat ara nyé" I stop there because there would be to much correction to be made, just one thing all the quenya that you learned is a NEO-quenya and should be more accuratly named PSEUDO-quenya because it would make Tolkien sick for sure.
