I'm happy because my best friends have arrived here for midsummer.

Midsummer's Eve!

And finally, I can go to sauna with my friends.. They don't have 'mixed' sauna (whatever that is.. We're all Homo sapiens, I believe) at any other occasion than Midsummer. Damn conservative place..

Figuring out how to open my voice up by signing that Hopelessly Devoted thing was SERIOUSLY a huge break through. Because of that, I figured out why my diction comes out sounding really strange some times, so I've been able to take steps to fix it.

PLUS it made me realize what's wrong with my dad when he sings. So I offered to give him a voice lesson, and once I figured out how to coherently say what I was trying to teach him things started moving really quickly and there was a HUGE change in his voice. It just took me a few minutes to figure out how I needed to word what I was thinking.

I got my dad to speak sing a few things, and once that clicked that he could sing just as forward and resonantly as he's capable of speaking things started clicking. Then I just kept saying, 'keep it connected to your body', and things started happening. I learned a lot today and picked up a few new tricks, so that makes me super happy.

I have sooo much to learn, but every thing I learn just thrills me. Because I feel like after every lesson I get to teach, I've learned something, and the next person I get to 'start fresh' with goes along at a faster rate because of the things I learned from the last time.

On the plus side, I LOVE the green fairy. I drank a half liter with two friends on Saturday, which amounts to three glasses each, which is just the right amount. Hard to believe it'd only been a month since I last had the stuff. I'd forgotten how wonderful it is.

Eh, everyone dies some time. I tend to think about once a month is the perfect frequency. More than that, and it would lose it's mystique. Of course, we don't want LESS than that! Not to say that I'll actually have it once a month, but I think that would be ideal.

Helsinki Pride is this weekend!

Or actually, it's been going on the whole week.. I'm just going for the weekend, though, living far away as I do. So now I'm having henna tattoos made on my head.. 8)

Hm. Well I lucked out on my first interview and the guy used to be a huge choir nerd apparently, so we talked a lot about different choir/singing stuff. The second interview went well too, and I got a pay offer that's more than what I had asked for/expected.

Also the people there were really nice... not quite like I remember them being at the place back on Houston before we moved. Those were some grumpy employees .

Now I gotta run out for a drug screening. Which I'll be very surprised if I don't pass.

Hopefully this will work out to be a really good thing. We'll see . I'm hopeful.

I have an interview at Pizza Hut tomorrow. I turned in an app there the same time I applied for my current job, but she just called me yesterday. I'd be really happy if I get it, but I don't think I'll quit my current job right away because we're really short on people and I can't leave everyone high and dry. But we'll see what happens. Oh, and yummy spaghetti last night!

lol. If your pizza hut is any like the ones around here, run, don't walk, in the other direction.

I swear, the idea you'd get would be that they have a kind of reverse IQ test for management. A bright person would DIE.

Tonight 'Amadeus' is going to be broadcasted (why does my spell check say that is spelled wrong?) and I'm looking forward to watching it. If it's anything like 'Hans Christian Andersen' and that sort of films, I'll enjoy it. ^_^
If not, I'll turn it off if I don't like it. Simple as that.

Amadeus is an amazing film, but it couldn't possibly be less like Hans Christian Anderson, if you mean the Danny Kaye movie.

The past tense of "broadcast" is "broadcast" Silly English.

And the future tense? I tried to use the FT there.
I don't know who Danny Kaye is, but I liked the parts where a certain girl kept coming back in his stories. It has been a long time since I saw it though, so I only remember it vaguely.
What intrigued me most was to see how people got to write the stories, or in the case of Amadeus the music, that I like. I also saw movies like this about the life of Ceasar etc.
I just like the genre I guess ^_^
