Thanks, I thought so too.

Hope so. Would be a shame if Thumper stopped thumping.

Good for you!

P. S. Sorry, JD, I'll go start other topic to stay out of your way.

JD--I think we should keep talking about coconuts, and non-existant coconuts...

MUCH more interesting.

Wahine, would you please start that thread elsewhere, if you really want to? This is a very off-topic conversation.

Any thoughts from the anti-war protesters on all the gas masks and chemical weapon antidotes that have been found in Iraq? Or the ricine production documents? Does anyone still think that we were dead wrong about the WMDs Iraq is stated to have? And the documents and personell links to Al'Qaeda?

And if you do think these aren't all lies, do you not think that their having WMDs justifies attack?

The ironic thing Lief is that no matter what anti-war protesters will think this war was/is wrong. They are of the breed where they don't do something until something happens, then again some don't even want that...

In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.'

'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin

Just a quick point that someone on TV made: People are talking about how long this war is taking. We've been at war for two weeks and are surrounding Baghdad. Keep in mind that it took Janet Reno a month to take the Branch Davidian Compound in Waco Texas. To be within attacking distance of Baghdad at two weeks is amazing.

More interesting stuff turning up....

Officer: Troops Find Vials of Powder

NEAR BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. troops found thousands of boxes of white powder, nerve agent antidote and Arabic documents on how to engage in chemical warfare at an industrial site south of Baghdad, a U.S. officer said Friday.

Col. John Peabody, engineer brigade commander of the 3rd Infantry Division, said the materials were found Friday at the Latifiyah industrial complex 25 miles south of Baghdad.

"It is clearly a suspicious site," Peabody said.

Peabody said troops found thousands of boxes, each of which contained three vials of white powder, together with documents written in Arabic that dealt with how to engage in chemical warfare.

He also said they discovered atropine, used to counter the effects of nerve agents.

The facility had been identified by the International Atomic Energy Agency as a suspected chemical, biological and nuclear weapons site. U.N. inspectors visited the plant at least nine times, including as recently as Feb. 18.

The facility is part of a larger complex known as the Latifiyah Explosives and Ammunition Plant al Qa Qaa.

During the 1991 Gulf War (news - web sites), U.S. jets bombed the plant.
Kinda Ironic how the UN was in there a month ago and 9 other times and didn't find any of this stuff, I bet it's because the inspectors were being led around the facility and weren't given free reign to inspect it fully...
