Orcs drank their own special kind of miruvor, didn't they? This is special miruvor, the kind that baddies enjoy, it's like absinthe.

Shah! I hope you feel better soon, please don't leave us o.k.? We'll wait 4 U. I'll try and help you post some Marty & Ray stuff later on tonight, if you'd like, although the king's other men kinda confuse me a little. The king himself confuses me a little, to tell ya the truth. Whatever you need, just ask, 'k? I hope you're feeling good soon, Shah.

Mirovor: i thought it was ELVEN muck ... and probably smelly too!
jeez ... where's the old widow,BB? ... what about old mrs etc? but you won't let her anywhere near you? let's get this straight ...employing ELVES that stink (no offence elven girls) to nazgul and whom they hate? Socialising with the King of numenor ... posting COVER stories about who they are and ...this really flaberghasts me ... don't want to have a GOOD cover story posted in the gazette???? This is Tharbad ... this is Middle earth ... Lords and ladies and nobility attend a party the gazette would write ... it is NOT the gutter press of the modern world!!! Valandil himself was wondering when an article might appear! Why would you kill a harmless old maid just doing her job and helping you out with your cover stories and NOT kill an elf? It does not make any sense. Plus why,oh why do you think Old mrs W is against you? Plus... no pick-pocketing? But murder of a well known and well respected war widow is O.K????? and you want to know the king and the important nobles of tharbad after just arriving and you propose to SNUB the best connected lady in town who can help you??? and ... i'll leave the other 22 reasons for now! Flabherghasted, i tell you! |

I will murder that snoopy reporter if she sets foot uninvited upon my family's property. I'm a Nazgul, not a bleeding heart liberal.

Doesn't she have eon-old crash on Wikkie (sorry, "Morgie")? What do you think, Lotesse? (me, Lotesse) answer: YEAH, when is Aiwendis gonna come over? We DO need to know, Gordis...

????
you hardly know the old dear. what i am saying is a) it makes no sense b) i don't block any of your characters posting or their characters being developed c) she is an integral part of the brotherhoods intelligence and hence a part of the arch-chancellor's d) you don't want tharbad reporters around yet you threaten to kill my character at a party? e) she only writes who wore what and who is new in town ... maybe some love interest gossip F) why would she report on a university thing? G) try some of her whelps in garlic, they are lovely ... ask constable BB H) i fail to see why you can employ elves ... but have a problem with an old dear who writes a society article in the gazzette? I) this is not tabloid journalism...this is middle earth J) how can i develop my character if you are going to threaten to kill her for no good intelligent or reasonable reason if she ever come anywhere near some of the leading rpg characters? I'm sorry but that's not on: K) she also makes the best coffee (possibly outside of orrodel) in tharbad: try her soggy walnut cake, it's yummy L) if you guys use your noodle . i would have thought you would WELCOME a good introduction and supporting cover story of your introduction to Tharbad society! best BB |

As for Lilly, she has drunk a whole bottle and feels much better, and likes mankind much more than usual. She will not harm the old Widow.
I think, Lotesse, we should relent towards the widow. Here. have this bottle of orc draught! Better? Killing someone is not in our interests. At least, the old darling doesn't stink like an elf!! |

BB, my reasons are this:
Reporters are not welcome at Orrodel, no matter what claims to fame they may have. If other nazgul don't mind, know this - Viv DOES mind. It weakens the Nazgul position in many, many ways to have a seemingly innocuous reporter RIGHT in their home. The "good guys" already have loads of secret service agents and what-not, plus now we have not one but TWO elves ion the house tonight - the one is our Major Domo, the other is allowed for a minute because she's NOT in the midst of everything, she's having a private conversation with her old friend, and they aren't reporting anything. How IN THE WORLD can it "make no sense" that a reporter, an uninvited reporter, would be welcomed into ANY home, especially a blue-blood home, and even more especially into a Nazgul home? Sorry, I just don't buy it you guys. Viv WILL murder that old woman tonight, if she snoops over to her home. She won't kill the gulls and butterflies, but she has no mercy with snoopy old women, and nobody will be the wiser. No one will even find the poor woman's body. Gone. She'll be vanished. Capiche? Here's a sort of compromise: Make the old woman a paparazzi-type, sneaking in the bushes and peeking in the back windows and such-like.

so, let's get this straight you are threatening to kill another rpg-er's character?
I guess we will need to see what the other rpg-ers here think of that. It does seem not on, Lotesse. sorry but it does! we are all trying to play a game here and i do not think that attitude or disregard for other mooters playing here is helpful. I have never stopped any of your characters in any way ... nor basically attempted in practice to write them out of the game. and i REALLY do not see why you should take this approach either with me or with a character of mine best BB |

Just please do not bring a reporter to Orrodel, Butterbeer! Look at it this way - If a known Nazgul went into the King's house, you think the King's men would welcome that Nazgul with open arms?

It has been obvious I was not entirely fond of the idea of a third thread and I'm still a bit leary of it although I now can see how it could be of real merit to this particular game, if it is used right. But I'm not taking any responsibility for it and I am weary of using my mod-powers for unnecesary things like editting posts when other people are capable of doing their own posting. Therefore I will post my character description in the third thread and will moderate it like the rest of the forum. No more. Quote:

B, Your human character is tremendously disadvantageous to any Nazgul character, and I know that you know this. I do not buy the sweet old lady thing, I just don't. Why not create a new character who is human, and have them be like a guerrilla paparazzi or something? It's just so incredibly unrealistic that a reporter would be welcomed into a home like that. They do not need or want their nazgul names in the papers, BB. You made the snoopy reporter, not me. It is not my fault that you created a character that would be so vulnerable to a Nazgul.

Oh, don't you start quarrel, guys!
See it that way, BB, Viniglaen must have an old allergy to reporters dating from the Second age. I don't think, nay I am sure, that Lotesse is against the Widow NOT because she is yours! She is just against the reporters. I have the solution: catch Marty and Ray in the street. Shah is ill, they will be overlooked for a long time. They can give a nice PR interview about the last night's events. Please, BB, be a darling! Last edited by CrazySquirrel : 09-21-2005 at 06:25 PM. |

That's perfect, CS! BB - what do you think? That's a great idea, no? Then you can write some Marty & Ray stuff too, because I don't think I have much energy for this left over for at least another day or so. All this friggin' bichkering is wearing my ass out.

On the other hand I do can see the logic in not allowing someone like the widow in what's basically a private party in Orrodel. But she could be standing on the street observing who goes in and who leaves, like many modern paparazzi do with places where they're not allowed in. However that doesn't justify killing somebody's elses character off without consent of that character's player. In role playing that considered rather bad form. Perhaps the old widow wants to apply for one of the open jobs?
