Re. "The Crucible" : Arthur Miller is the bomb, especially considering the fact that not only did he write classics, but he married Marilyn Monroe once (how cool is THAT ) plus he lived a really long life. He just passed away a few months ago, r.i.p.
I'm tryna remember if I saw the movie - the one with Winona Ryder, right?

Yeah, that's right. That last courtroom scene was amazing...you could feel the agonizing tension Proctor felt.

Transporter 2

Brilliant film. Well, not really. It was crap. Completely over the top, is one way I might describe it. Absurd, is another. Also, implausable, exaggerated and unrealistic. Plus rediculous. You'll have a hard time suspending disbelief on this one folks.

That said, pure escapism. Fight scenes and action sequences had a polished feel. This is a movie for the guys, and you'll need popcorn.

Amazingly, there is a roughly minute-long sequence a little after halfway that I would refer to as the funniest fight scene I have ever seen in the history of my life. I have never laughed so hard in a cinema. Beats The Rundown's jungle scene anyday.

Got home and washed it all off with some Lost in Translation, so I slept soundly.

Last movie I saw was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was...brilliant.

.

Which fight scene was that?

The fight scenes were OK, but the whole "scrape the bomb off with a flip" was stupid stupid stupid...

But I like the actor, so I'd see Transporter 3 on thru 18 (In sequil 18 he has a custom scooter he uses to trafic cooperate employees who are often late and in fear of loosing their job....oh the suspense!)

last fil I saw, was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I think it almost ranked with SW Ep III, which is the best film I've seen this year. best film I have seen for a long time. Depp is awesome.

Just watched 'A Matter of Life and Death', which I haven't seen in a long time. It's even better than I remembered. I love this film - it's so unusual and original (and even romantic)!

8 Mile - again. It's one of the DVDs I own that I watch every once in a while to fit a mood. I love, love, love watching Eminem, just watching him & hearing him. Love that chick Brittany Murphy, too, for some reason; she's one of the actresses I always enjoy watching, who doesn't irritate me.

The hosepipe scene. The complete absence of a music soundtrack during this (and, I think, other fight scenes too) made it even funnier.

The Outlaw Josey Wales is an excellent Eastwood flick, to be sure!!

I rented this Tony Richardson 1968 movie "The Charge of the Light Brigade." Loved it.

Has anyone else seen "Layer Cake?" Watched it last week, loved it.
