I'm quite busy at the moment, so I won't be able to get online much so someone else can take my go, but if no question has been posted next time I'm online, I'll post.

What was reclaimed from the Mathom House in 3001 and by whom?

Is it the mithril-coat that Bilbo took back to give to Frodo? I haven't my book with me, so I have no idea if that happened in 3001 or not...

Correct.

I think that my mention of the mathom house made this too easy.

I do not think that is says directly when Bilbo tok the mithril coat. It is more through indirect mention that one can work out when Bilbo took the coat.

Your turn.

Yes, and the fact that the question just before yours was also about this same mithril coat...

My turn... darn, my book isn't with me! I'll just have to ask something off the top of my head...

'How many days after Frodo and Co. left Bree, did Gandalf turn up there?'

Gandalf found out by speaking with Butterbur that they had left that very morning with Strider.

What date did Frodo get transported to Rivendell, after "falling". And how long before he regained consciousness?

I think Frodo was delivered to Rivendell on October, 20, 3018

IIRC, Frodo was "out" for four days.

I wish all a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Day.

(Although, I think that the Canadians have the jump on the US since IIRC, they celebrate Thanksgiving Day in October on the 2nd Monday.)

I'll be back either Friday night or Saturday. see you then.

Strider

This belongs in Appendix Trivia, I think...but I'm too lazy to look it up.

IIRC, (If I Recall/Remember Correctly) Frodo was at the Ford of Bruinen on October 20, 3018, when he collapse on Glorfindel's horse Asfaloth after facing the nine riders.

He was delivered as quickly as possible to rivendell.
(If Frodo did not arrive at Rivendell on the 20, then I guess he arrived on the 21 of October.)

He awoke on October 24, 3018 with Gandalf at his side. The splinter was removed from him the night before by Elrond.

You know that words have new meanings.

I'll try again. I know it is not always easy to answer the question exactly as it should be answered.

Frodo was brought unconscious to Rivendell by elves on the night of the 20th of October. He regained consciousness after four days of unconsciousness.

Frodo was brought unconscious to Rivendell by elves on the night of the 20th. He awoke on the morning of the 24th of October at about 10 o'clock. (at least that is what Gandalf stated to Fordo in the book, IIRC)
