Hmm... just thought of something...
If my Pippin -> Denethor guess was very close... but the Pippin pledging his alliegance post wasn't... Maybe it was the act performed (meeting) not the people involved... In other, more sensical, words: Is it the meeting of Merry and Theoden?

anyway, have faith in yourself, Mirahzi. my first 3 or 4 riddles were so obvious that people guessed them within 20 minutes. now i've got riddles that take people days! go me. anyway, hardeharhar Blackheart. a new one from me: Happiness twisted, corrupted Wrought to a new shape and form. Unlike the elves or the goblins, Cringing from sunlight and morn. oh and the hint alarm was buried deep, deep, deep underground.
