I just learnt that I recruited most new students to the wildlife guide training program, which means I got to choose one of the following as a prize:

1) a water-proof camera, 7.4 MP, olympus 725 SW
2) a down sleeping bag, haglöfs, three seasons, goga pro 6
3) thermarest ground sheet with "chair", Thermarest Prolite3

I chose the sleeping bag, since I already have two cameras (not a water proof one, though..) and i want the thermarest prolite4, and I'm currently using my brother's sleeping bag.. And it's a good sleeping bag, I know that.

But yeah, all I did was send out an e-mail, and I'll get a sleeping bag worth 350€. Worth being happy about.

My kids are about to get COUSINS!!! For the first time... E-VER!

Just found out my younger brother and his wife are expecting... TWINSES!! I think they're due in about February/March.

I'm hoping to drive our end of the family cross-country out to Laguna Beach to meet them next summer.

OH, cousins are SUCH fun! I only had 2 growing up, so I really enjoy my kids' cousins.

Happy - listening to a lovely symphony on the HD TV - you can see the moles on the musicians' faces - feels like you're there! It's one of Beethoven's, but I'm so rusty that I can't remember if it's 7 or 8 ... I've been away from classical music for awhile.

As it went on, I knew it wasn't 7, but it turned out to be ... 3! The Eroica! Boy, have I been away too long! (but I never particularly liked that one, anyway - sorry, Ludwig!)

It's 10.30pm on a Saturday night, and I'm still at work/school. Voluntarily, I'm sitting here planning my next experiment.

I'm nuts.

Yee! First day as a music major doin' music majory thangs.

I am -so- overwhelmed and intimidated right now, but it's okay... I had a feeling I would be. All of the other guys sing so much better than I do o.O. Again, not surprising, and definitely what I was expecting since most of them have been singing for 5-6 years at least (some for eight), and I've had a bit under 2 years.

Still, still... happy to be here. I just wish I felt a little more adequate.

Actually it took me a long-O while to get to know the "Eroica" (for the non-classically informed, this may be referred to as the "Erotica" symphony, but you're wrong folks! You're wrong!)--but soon I got attached to the last movement...and from there all of it.

Here's something to try Rian: get ahold of Mozart's Overture called "Bastien und Bastienne". Then listen to the opening of that, and the opening of the "Eroica". You'll be stunned.

Interesting that tyou could see the moles on the musicians' faces

Oh by the way...I'm happy to be home

And one of the flutists had purple fingernail polish ... fun! And I really liked her earrings. (I'm serious! You could see her earrings really clearly!)

Yeah, the Erotica! Beethoven was a funny guy ...

Is the Mozart piece worth getting on its own? I have so many CD's already ...

Happy - the bank made a $30,000 error - in my favor!!!

Vent - they just discovered it ... and took it out But for 24 hours, I was 30K richer ...

omg wtf is wrong with me?

I started looking at some High School Musical videos on youtube on a whim, AND I CAN'T STOP.

Know who I love? Ryan. That guy's got a fantastic voice, and his character is so sassy . Also the other guy, Corbin, isn't bad at all.

I CAN'T STOP WATCHING 'I DON'T DANCE'.

God help me. It's TOO MUCH FUN! ^_^

The rest of the videos are crap tho'. How did this show become so popular?

I got a 5-volume set of the Summa Theologica in Latin a few months ago for under 50 dollars, inc. s&h; today I found out that it's approximately one hundred twenty years old. This makes me very happy indeed, especially since it's in very good condition.
