Valandil - Lol!! That is so cute!! BTW, like Gordis says, Oreturion IS a very, very interesting character, one of the non-Nazgullian characters who really piques my interest. He feels potentially quite complex, sort of chiaroscuro, you know? Lightness AND darkness. Compelling stuff.

Ciao, guys! Just popping in right now for 15 minutes to check the posts; will try and log in again later today for longer. MISSING you ALL!!!

YESSSS!
My advice is GO there, as soon as you are able. Just after the pie-throwing?
Gor & Chancellor can't leave so soon, evidently, they have to say goodbye to all the guests!

Let us have a NICE MAGIC Nazgul FIGHT!!!

I think Udu, Lilly and Pen can hold their own against Khamul for some time, till Morgul Lord comes?

And Vivvie??? Can you come help ol' buddies?

If you're talking about post 334, I did that on purpose! (I like teaser endings)

IT's followed by a much longer post.

Rian Very interesting post. Your story shapes up.
The only problem is the mention of Mordor. I believe it should be Angband?

Okay, I'm a bit confused. What's happening with this pie throwing?

Morgoth knows. We need BB for that.
Meanwhile Khamul may start musing "to GO or NOT to go".

I would but the timeframe doesn't fit that well. We need to have Khamûl leave but be stopped by the Chancellor from killing Udu, Penny and Lily. I don't think Khamûl would be much interested in the pie throwing events, and the Chancellor an Aiwendis still need to say farewell to their guest's.

I don't know, but me personally, I really don't like the pie throwing idea. It seems really out of place in the context of what kind of story we're all building. I just cannot see too many of these people taking lightly to having pies thrown all over them, I mean, really. No offense to whomever it was who came up with the idea in the first place, but... old tradition or no, I just don't buy it. It's so, so... undignified. And everyone is wearing their "sunday best," replete with priceless heirloom jewelry and the hairdos, and everything. I don't buy it, you guys! I can't see the Chancellor taking one in the face, and laughing heartily about it. Viniglaen would straight up knock the lights out of anyone fool enough to lob pastries at HER. She'd even throw down and kick some ass if they lobbed pastries at KHAMUL, or Aiwendis, or Udu. That's just a tradition I don't see being terribly successful with the delicate, refined Elven set, either. Ah, well.

My post today was short, and now I have only 10 minutes left, and I have to admit, I have not had the time to be able to read all of your posts. Can I propose something, here? It's just a proposal, but how about this: Can we limit story posts to ONE per player, per day? Like, no more than one story post per day, per player? Within a 24 hour period? It is literally becoming imPOSSible for me to stay abrest of the story, and now I work, too, I have a job which keeps me all day, then I've got to wait 2 hours to use the computer at the library for 1 hour only (that's all they allow per day), and if I want to go to the hotel computer or the coffeeshop, it's 12 dollars an hour, money I don't have all the time. Who can afford thirty dollars a day, and that's just to be able to READ the new stuff, never mind think & compose a contribution. But this is just me. Can you guys at least think about it?

I agree with Lotesse on both points there. If anybody threw a pie at Khamûl I doubt they'd see the next pie throwing event.

I also am going away soon (Saturday) and will have restricted access, if any, to computers. Maybe if, like Rian did earlier, you have one long post and one short post then that's fine, but reading about two long posts per each player when you've been absent for under 24 hours takes quite a while.

O.K. - TD, why in the world is Khamul so bent out of shape about his fellow Nazguls?? We are supposed to be getting together in the near future for a friendly, together, reunion-type Nazgul party soon, and also, I cannot understand how come Khamul is so obsessed with constantly "punishing" his peers. That gastrointestinal spell was not supposed to be any more painful than a brief bout of bad heartburn, and the being hot for a second, well, that was just like a hot-flash. Why is Khamul so hell-bent on making mountains out of molehills, especially at the expense of making himself look like a weakling? If he wants to get to the bottom of whodunit, he can question Lil & Pen later on, and then maybe we can all have a row, then tempers will settle down, and we will remember our solidarity to one another and band together to deal with MUCH more pressing matters of immediacy, like what to do with the dead chick in the living room.

Gotta log off again already, DAMMIT!!!!! See you all later on...

I highly doubt that she is dead, whacking a nazgul with a frying pan wont cause death! I think that she might be close to it, but highly doubt she would die outright.

Great post, Lotesse! Glad you are with us at least for a moment!

I believe few people exceed 1 post per day limit, but we are 13 in this RPG! Thirteen!

Re: pie throwing
I never liked the idea, but BB insisted, and it is the new professors (Udu- already departed, and Khamul, who should be throwing pies at the Chief (not the King, Chancellor or the guests!)
I don't want to deprive BB of the brilliant post he may have already composed. I suggest the following. I put a placeholder for BB. If he wants to use it - OK, if not, I believe Val has the possibility to delete it.
Sounds OK?

Exactly, Shah. CS has confirmed it herself. She has Black Shadow affliction, like Eowyn, but not so bad, that is all.

As for Khamul, I think, it was quite painful, not a laughing matter. And the fact that some weaker nz dared to attack him is maddening.

I think we can have a fight first, and a get together party later, after the Morgul Lord arrives.

Where is Udu ? He should arrive to Orrodel first...

Edit: You write so well,Shah!

There's keeping characters in character, there's keeping the plot in character, and then there's keeping the setting in character. And while the pie throwing doesn't fit with the overall plotline or with most of the characters it does add to and fit with the setting, which happens to be a university with a party-school reputation. In such a setting one must expect a little indignity and learn to take it without flying into a killing rage.

Great Post, Udu!
I always enjoy how precisely you describe surroundings... Also liked how you finished the bottle yourself, not bothering to try to revive the woman.

It is interesting, what were your previous relations with Buzukkumarz (aka Five aka Pengolod) and Lilly? Were you good friends with those two Easterlings?

Edit: No, no problems with Orrodel at all. No one has drawn a plan of the house yet. I am not sure we really need it.
