October 3rd.

He scratched on a rock the rune G and three scratches afterward to indicate that he had been there on the third.

Okay - give me a little bit to think of something. I got a call about a contract and I need to prepare for the tech interview. I'll come up with something though.

Isn't it the stone pillar in Azanulbizar, where Durin I first looked into Kheled-zaram, seeing Durin's crown? I think Balin was killed there.

Sorry - didn't know anyone responded.

yes - baby-K you are correct.

"It is for the Dimrill Dale we are making...There lies the Mirrormere..."

"Dark is the water of Kheled-zaram and cold are the springs of Kibil-nala.

"...Balin Lord of Moria, fell in Dimril Dale. He went alone to look in Mirrormere. an orc shot him from behind a stone..."

"This pillar marks the spot where Durin first looked in the Mirrormere"

"O Keled-zaram fair and wonderful! There lies the Crown of Durin till he wakes."

Sorry, I'm too lazy to put the special characters.

Here's a hot in the dark...but would it be the passage in Moria in the crossroads that he couldn't remeber that he took because the air was less foul?

If that makes any sense...

Well, No! But that was a good try! His nose did prefer the air in a certain passage.

This place has an old elvish name, and a name given by men.

only the stones (yes, I looked) I guess the grasses and the trees were too young to remember.

Who spotted the cave troll?
