You said you were a snake. That's not quite the same as a frog.

In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.' 'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin "Oh. I remember when I posted that. It was some thread in the Middle Earth forum (Possibly 'Most Impressive Male character'?) and I was saying something about a shortage of good looking males, and he said 'Well, I'm here '. So I said that, and he put it in his sig, and then Dúnedain left the board for a few months shortly thereafter. Last edited by Linaewen : 01-28-2004 at 08:39 AM. |

i have my favorite movie quote in my sig; it's at the part in the TT where Eowyn does that cool sword-swing-around-thingy and knocks aside Aragorns knife.
the end is the first part of my favorite poem- "Ode (We Are the Music Makers" by Arthur William Edgar O'Shaughnessy

Well I choose mine because I think the story of my lonely sock was very touching....you guys just wait till I get tired of this one and post my other away message from aim. It's about how my microwave hates my refrigator....needs a little fine tuning though.

The Sig of Nurvingiel
Lets see... I have links to my funny MSTing website, and a story I'm writing in the Writer's Workshop. I put them in my sig because I really want feedback (good and bad) on them, and I think they're worth reading. Then I put that I'm hectorberlioz's Assistant director (#3) because it's part of my job. Then I have my favourite LotR quote, from my favourite character! ("Wishing to Punch his pimply face" ... hehe, Sam rules.) And of course, a quote from the learned hectorberlioz is needed for a good sig. Last but not least, Twista should get credit for making me a super avatar.

Yes it is a very very true story. I even wear them to school sometimes. OH! I jsut remembered one day I got some really funny looks from people and I couldn't figure out why...I just remembered I had The Socks.
A Note From Me: When refering to my socks please say The Socks. The Socks are about to go bye bye...the microwave is about to say hello....I warn you though he's rude!
