I just got my last grade back: a 6! I got a SIX

Woohoo! No retakes at all.
I passed both courses I thought I wouldn't pass with a 6 and the one I knew I had passed with an 8.
Now all that's left is for my thesis to be approved and then I'll graduate!

My mom brought all my old diaries to me today (plus a couple of other goodies). It's so funny reading through them. The really old ones are so weird and random. The middle school ones are unbelievably silly. The high school ones are so angsty and dramatic it's funny. Here's a couple entries from 1997 (9 years old):

1-13-97 I went to Amanda's house today. We went smb [snowmobiling] and played Playstation. BYE!

2-13 I stayed up 'til ten o'clock and I wasn't even tired! We had a sub. today. She was fun. We played 3 games. seven up twice and a game like sherades. Oh, her name was Mrs. Feltake. I got a beany baby last Saturday.

And one from 1999:

1-12 It's been a while, and I'm over Nick. Almost. [...] I have a crush on Henry now, which is good, because I think he likes me. I took a quiz with my magazine and he was pretty much definitely into me.

lol.

My other favorite part was when I typo'ed "dawson" (of the creek) as "Pokemon" hahahaha

Yeah, journals are amazing. They bring back memories of things I'd completely forgotten... and I make an effort now whenever something I feel is eventful happens to write it down. It's amazing how quickly memories fade... I wrote down things just a year ago that now, reading back on them, I think, "Wow... I had forgotten that I felt like that, but it makes sense that I did, because I remember thinking such and such about this other person when all of this was happening."

Haha, my old ones are really crazy, too

. All about random stuff like buying a dart gun, or getting to go swimming and stuff.

I didn't think I'd be posting here at all for a long time, all things considered, but hey.

Jinx's been still eating better the last few days, today he didn't need as much coaxing as he did before, and he even ate his long ignored diet food without a hitch. Of course it doesn't make things any easier since a renewed appetite won't change his deformed kidneys but ah, problems for later. He's eating, and more active and cuddly, I'm happy enough.

Also the frogs managed to give us the slip again. Year after year we watch the ponds closely for frog spawn and never see any, but we do mysteriously get yearling-frogs. And now we had toad spawn and toad-tadpoles, and all of a sudden tiny, tiny frogs!

Barely half the size of a 1 euro cent, and still a stumpy tail, but obviously a frog. Where do they come from?
