Briefly, in Today's News:

President Hector has announced that he is allowing his term to end in 2008. He has also said that a presidential election may occur, though the new president-elect would not take office 'til 2009.
For his remaining two years in office, the President has fired his press secretary, who was nobody since he never hired one...and has asked someone--reports are unconfirmed as to who it might...can't you just wait, though?!--to replace nobody with.

Edge of Fangorn, Entmoot Realm
Reports say that Rohan is planning to invade Fangorn Forest, in the interest of the plentiful firewood produced by Fangorn each year. President Hector has called the National Guard to protect the borders. Mirkwood has recently refused to help us, saying they have their own problems...apperantly the Elven King of Mirkwood got his hair all tangled in low-hanging branches of a very prickly tree. His condition is critical, but don't worry, he has a good press secretary, and there are rumors that he might save face by giving handouts to his constituents....

Fangorn Forest, The Green House
Delegates from Mordor dined with the President yesterday in the Green House. President Hector hopes to heal the owies that have happened over the past few years. No hints as to what was on the menu, but one can imagine: roasted Hobbit as an appetizer, and Swamp Juice wine.

Recalls: The Teacup Cafe issued a recall of over 75,000 cups of coffee that accidentally contained water from Last Month's Flood.
The Costume Shop, just next door recalled all it's manufactured costumes since the beginning of the year, saying that there were very numerous defects in the seams, warning that the costumes might fall apart just as one might put it on...

Lastly: Three dead dogs were found underneath Moderator Earniel's bed earlier today. They were mauled, beated, chewed, flogged, and skinned. And cooked. But not eaten.
