True. However, some ideologies seem to attract annoying people...

Sheesh, BoP, get better soon! I've only had one UTI my entire life, and it was really annoying! Are you getting antibiotics? And there's a little pill you can take that turns your "output" a vivid orange, but also numbs the discomfort.

Sorry to hear bout that BoP. That doesn't sound like a comfortable place at all to become all infected. Get better soon!

Friday morning I got pulled over. I would just sigh if I deserved it, but all I did was slow down instead of stopping at a ridiculously unnecessary stop sign, and the pompous cop lectured me that "these stop signs. were installed. in an attempt. to prevent high school students. like your roudy self. from speeding down these roadways. You only slowed down because you saw me." Which was bull, 1) I would have stopped if you hiding there waiting for revenue, idiot! I slowed down, more than enough, to see up the incline of the road that angled toward mine at that intersection (IOW, I had the clearest view imaginable). and 2) however my 1993 minivan with more rust than paint gave him the impression I was a regular school-aged motorhead I have no idea. The guy could have been lenient, but he was too dumb, and also the van, my dad's, has been overdue for inspection since last July. So that very day the guy mails me the summons and they're at my house and in my parents' hands before I'm even home from school. $215 to pay now, and I don't deserve that.

Actually, you do.

Stop means Stop and nothing else complies.

Thanx bomb & ri. Yes, I am on antiobiotics - the first course didn't work, and it spread to my kidneys, so I'm on another lot now, but they're still not working, and my kidneys are still moderately sore (enough that it's uncomfortable to sit in a chair). Ugh.

Bomb, that sounds like a frustrating experience.

Well after two weeks of hardly any computer operation; nine days of 5-8 hrs. per day with tech support from Microsoft, Gateway and Symantic; I think my system and all are working at last. .....boy what stress

I wish it were that simple. My computer was bought from relatives, three years ago. They didn't supply me with the O.S. disc as they couldn't find it. All they had were application and driver discs. So whatever caused the crash ( I couldn't use Word nor any buttons, such as "next", "submit", "enter", etc., on any www site) was really never found out. The only good thing was that I was given an extended warranty through this year at that time which allowed me to get help.

OH, and although I had created a "restore point" only weeks ago, I was unable to use that function (it simply did not open) and my internal Help and Support file was totally non operative.

I managed with e-mail assistance and purchasing a new browser disc from Netscape, got another free disc from Earth Link, and ordered 2006 Norton virus protection as after begining with tech support, all my virus protection disappeared. I also purchased Pcon Point which is a program designed to find and correct errors. As a result, I have only been on line for about 9 min. each day in hopes of limiting the opportunity for hard drive corruption by virus, worm, etc.

As of today, I have e-mail back to normal (it wasn't working yesterday at all) and my browsers are BOTH working well although I don't care for Netscapes display of my favorites.

Ah, ok. Well, without turning this into a technical topic, I'll just add that my XP SP2 firewall + Norton Internet firewall combination seem to be working quite well. I do run a seperate anti-virus app, but the real-time scan has never found anything since the firewalls do a pretty good job. Anyway, good luck.

That's perfectly normal. I won't even try the shot my orthopedic doctor suggested to ease back pain...forget surgery for me altogether, I can't handle that type.

All the best wishes .

*shahkes head, smiling* Oh, kids these days! Bomb, yes you DO deserve that ticket my boy! Laws are laws; rules are rules, and as you get older you'll learn better the right laws to break and how not to get caught, and the laws to always comply with and not ever to screw with - like stopping at stop signs. Do you even know how MANY car accidents, or pedestrian injuries, happen every year from peolpe sailing through stop signs with total disregard for the sign? Look, I have no love for cops either, but that cop you got ticketed by had very valid points and had EVERY RIGHT to give you a ticket and a talking-to. You've got a long life ahead of you; you'll get it as you get older! I mean, sometimes you gotta pay 2 play. Sometimes when a person gambles with the rules, they lose a hand here & there. Just be stoked you only got a ticket.

Oh Giroth, scoliosis too? Same here; without my dear doc who took care of me ever since I first went to him when I was 12, I might be for surgery too... All the best.

Vents of this morning

- Urgh. Do you know how DISGUSTING a bathroom can be, if the washing machine is removed and you are suddenly exposed to the sight of all the... ahem... DIRT which has been under it? Makes you want to run for the rubbergloves and the strongest disinfectant (sp?) available and clean the whole mess up. I just did that. >P

- I hate being bugged about political questions And PLEASE, not even by my own FAMILY! There's no need repeating the friendly suggestions! Last time I could manage without them. Of course I'm going to vote in April, but according to my own thoughts. Meh.
