When our last dog died, my mom told me something that was helpful that she did when her dog died. It sounds kinda nutty, but she told me that she talked to her dog and told her she missed her. I did that for a month or so with our dog that died, and it helped. I truly think that animals will be in heaven, so I think that somehow they can hear us.

I am super bummed about my phone not being here yet.
First it was supposed to be the 14th or 15th, then I thought maybe the 18th. Today is the 19th and STILL no phone!! I hope it arrives on Monday. I mean it's not a huuuuge deal, but I really want my phone so that I don't have to keep deleting texts that I wanna keep.... |

Consolations for the lost, and hope that the casualty list doesn't grow.

Due to some school and time problems (my university is being retarded ) I need to be off the 'moot for a while. Probably till at least August or September. That sucks.

March! Finally! I'm so done with February, what a horrible little month. Double shifts, understaffednes at work while having to do inventory, the whole family contracted an aweful cold that will not go away, my parents were in a car crash and ended up with several bruises and one broken rib, the other guy was DUI, which I hope will cost him dearly but in the mean time, our car's totalled and while it was in perfect working order, it was an old one which means insurance is not going to pay for another car. In short, it's been horrible all the way and March better shape up.

I'm so sorry to hear about your parents! Here's hoping they recover quickly, and that you find an affordable car.

Thanks, they'll be fine, eventually. It's just that coughing and a broken rib is a very painful combination for my mom. I'm trying to pamper her in the evenings, but as my parents are self-employed, she hasn't even been able to stay home from work a single day. Dad's better off physically but he's mourning. He adored that car and it will be nigh impossible to find one that suited him as well as this one. They don't make them anymore.

!! Well, I'm glad your parents didn't get hurt worse! but mega-Moothugs! and hope this month is better!
(I know what you mean about the car - that happened to us last month - our faithful 13-yr-old Oldsmobile, paid off and low insurance and working fine, got totaled by a teen driving an SUV. We got all of $1700 for it There's no way we could replace it with that much money. )

Yeah, I remember you've had your own troubles with accidents and insurance before.
Seems kind of pointless, doesn't it, to pay all that insurance for a perfectly working old car knowing that when push comes to shove, you'll never get enough money back to buy a similar one.

We actually were only paying for liability on that car (if WE hit someone), not collision, because we knew we'd only get paid a little. The only reason we DID get at least a little money is that it was 100% their fault.
Ah, insurance! How are your parents doing now, btw?
