Oh, and WW, I finally read you signature. I like

except that you spelled "whop" incorrectly.

Well, according to you it's wrong, but in the book I got it from, my spelling is correct. And don't ask me to name the book. It was a friend who suddenly noticed the quote and asked me to put it into the infamous quote pages. At that time, he told me that in the book, it was spelled "wop".
So there.

Well, hullo everyone. As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably.

Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia.

Cheers!

I'd thought a small reference to the horses and ponies and one wolf would be nice. Afterall there are in the mountain too.

Maybe this is a good time to have a first try playing a Smaugette, just to get the feel. We can add a little scene of the Smaugettes inside the mountain that Tano and Sarah can witness and report back to the rest. Unless of course no one finds that a good idea. In that case I'll edit in the RPG-thread.

You're excused Claenoic.

Sure...the Smaugettes came about from a youth production of "The Hobbit" that Willow, Human and I were all in. (I keep thinking Katt was in it too....) Anyway, there were eight of us girls in the ensemble, and we were all playing Smaug...we had a huge puppet (which I STILL really want!), and we all dressed in red or black fishnets and shirts and sparkly wrap skirts. It was v. uncomfortable, and v. skanky.
And we called ourselves "Smaugettes"....thus were they born.

Yeah, the Smaugetts rocked. But since I wasn't in it, and I'm not really a part of the story anyway unless it is to be an evil villian, I get to be,

Smaugatt the Golden!

That was soo cool you guys.

More about the Smaugettes.... We called ourselves the Smaugettes long before we got the costumes or the puppets. The name came about when the cast had split into groups to discuss things like costumes, tech, etc. Tano and I were in the group discussing tech and we were talking about the stuff concerning the dragon. For some odd and unknown reason during the discussion I blurted out some forgotten idea and referred to the eight of us playing Smaug as the Smaugettes. After that the name just sort of stuck, and when we started this role play we decided that it would be fun to bring the Smaugettes back to life and include them.

(It would be worth noting at this point that the person playing gollum was considered an honorary Smaugette as she snuck in to help us control the puppet during the arrow scene.)

*sniff* I just went and reread TLA from the beginning... It only took six hours.

Does anyone know what to do after The Hobbit? The idea of living without a TLA story to work on is... disturbing.

I could go read War of the Jewels and we could do that...

How about we see how many of us are still with us after this game and then go through the Middle earth stories that Tolkien wrote beside LoTR and the Hobbit to see what we could do? Giving up the TLA after this game is indeed.... unsettling. I'd rather not.

Disturbing is an understaement. The idea of no more TLA is just plain terrifying. I vote for War of the jewels next. Just think how much fun we could have with Luthien and Beren. And it makes the most sense since we were trying to get Miriam to read the Silmarillion in the first TLA.
