America has too many states; I can proudly say that I've been in all provinces and have family living in exactly half of them.

That sounds fun. Someday I'd love to go on a road-trip across the country. I'd really like to go by train too!

Train, that would be so much fun. I have only been on a train once, and that was from Prague to Budapest. It was a hellish ride, too.

How can you have been only once on a train?

Yes, but I spent much of the morning hoping y'all would get here...and therefore not working. Now everyone's here...good reason not to work.

Sometime pretty soon, the absence of work in my day is going to be problematic.

Oh, I see... *is considering that she travels by train at least twice a week, often more and can get everywhere with it and finds it odd that a country cannot have trains...*

Haha! No need for that. Just watch out. Careful phrasing and all that. Everyone here is well tempered, but this is practice after all.

Mari- I'd only been on a train once before I went to Japan. I went from Sudbury to Toronto. It was nice. I rode the shinkansen a couple times in Japan too, which was nice. And then there was the JR thing, which I took to school every day. I wish we had stuff like that here. There's tracks in this area and everything, that they used to use for mining. It wouldn't be that hard to set up a decent system. I'm all more efficient and safe public transit.

See, if I was snobby, I might say "There aren't any 'cities" in NC."

But I'm not.

Hmm, okay, I never knew that! I guess I always assumed there were trains everywhere...
