sorry to hear that, littlea I'm sure you can help her just by showing your friendship to her.

Queazy...things that go along with queasy...

Stomach bug? My new antibiotics?

And on the days when I have 8-hour orchestra practices too. Thank goodness for well-timed (so far) breaks.

Indeed, read the pamplet that came with the anitbiotics. Many have such side effects. If you didn't get one, look it up on WebMD.com and type in it's name in the search area...you'll find out all about it.

Hope this helps.

No one where I live is interested in talking about astronomy. No one even has the slightest clue what I'm talking about. Doesn't ANYONE around here (Indio/LQ/LQHS--Not Entmoot) ever look beyond your stupid rap or mindless, idiotic, and reckless friends? Where have all the smart people in this city gone? WHY!? Why can't anyone in this place say anything interesting? Talk about what I want to talk about, just for once? Well, more than once. Once is never enough. Once in a while, is better. Does ANYONE in the Coachella valley know how to have a decent, intelligent conversation? Did I fall asleep for ten years or something? Why is it that people like to stick their head in the ground when someone comes along requesting that they think? TLD people, on the other hand, have much interesting stuff to say, but hey? Who has time! I get there, sign it, go to my post, stay there helping visitors (or rather, sometimes parenting their children for them since they are so inept), then eat, sign out, wait for someone to pick me up, and do it all again the next Sunday. No time for conversation with the interesting people, just got to rush home and try to talk to the other interesting people on here. But of course, the internet is down when I get back, so I can't come here.
And then there's the government. It's a single-minded consumer-oriented corporate oligarchy built on encouraging ignorance and assimilation that is now turning into a totalitarian transnational police state. You're sent to school where both you AND your teachers are sent to be stripped of your personality and separated as much as possible, though this often fails. And all the advertising! Oh, gotta love the advertising! I just love it, don't you? Media is power, I guess. Worth repeating, huh? Media is power. That's what life is about these days: what everyone else does. Cool.
"John would have gone crazy. Frank would have laughed. Arkday would have said 'I told you so,' and suggested yet another revoloution."--Maya's thoughts about Jackie's control of the Free Mars party after the second Martian revoloution.

Wow, that felt good. I'm glad I finally get to say all this "out loud."
No offense meant to anyone.

I'm interested in Astronomy, just not to the point of owning a telescope.

I lived in Tucson, when the Shumaker- Levy comet was found -he was often out watching with his equipment in the afternoons as I'd ride by.

School... ugh...

I have Spanish in 30 minutes. I can't speak Spanish. It will come out as a weird mix of French and Japanese.

Ewww. P-ewww . Gross. I'd only do that if I was in some utterly impoverished place with no skills and two broken arms and no wellfare and starvation ahead. Interesting how one can control different muscles though .

Hrmph.

Any of ye CSI fans around, have you seen/do you remember a Miami episode with Hungarians in it? A guy named IVAN murdered, his forced-to-be-prostitute girlfriend named NINA saved, and all the other girls saved too - after discovering their RED passports locked away. See what nice big stereotype we've got here? Yeeeees.

Heck, I know only one country separates us from Russia, and there were times when it seemed even closer - but HEY.

(Bit o' information - we stuffed the red passports out of sight around '89-'90. Bad memories, you know. 'Tis blue now.)

Phew. That has benn bugging me ever since I saw that episode. And seeing it again yesterday was a bit much.

Just like nine times out of ten, if there's a Belgian character in foreign movies or TV-shows, they almost always have a German accent. Never mind less than 1% of the population actually even speaks German... Annoying. You know, research is good for you.

...Dont get me started on the stereotypes...I used to really get angry at them, to the point of beating people up. Now I just say I'm Italian or Spanish.

my office sent me down to seattle for the day. I got up at 4:45 to get on the road, and spent five hours on the road for a 6 hour shift. and no pay for time spent on the road.

Why is it that certain Christians can make me more angry than the most militant atheist in the world could ever do?
