Correct on all three. You may proceed on no's 9 - 17.

7b would be Parliament (Road, Street, whatever)

12 is the Houses of Parliament, no?

the named major art museum could be a lot of things... the Getty?

correct on 7b and 12, and, sorry, (and I should perhaps have been more specific.) The area I was describing is where Tate Britain lies.

I assume it is Paris, since that's what the last 3 questions were on...

But I've no idea of the answers

Can you give us a refresher course on how to play this particular guessing game, because it's kind of vague. I'm uncertain as to what you're asking, or how we're supposed to figure out what you mean...

Well the point is to guess, for example, in the "part of the City"-posts you're supposed to guess by first of all knowing which country Gauls and Angles (that is my way of dimly referring to the modern ppls) lived and by knowing that you can figure out which modern city I'm referring to and then (by perhaps checking some tourist guide or other if the clues are too difficult) figure out what I am after.

Gauls are French and Anglos are English. Yankees are New Yorkers. Or Eastern U.S. Americans, broadly speaking, or speaking from an overseas perspective, Yankees are all Americans, but try telling that to a Southerner.

You've got it. And I've been using Lonely Planets guide's to Britain and the US to make up the clues.

Crazy vague stuff, GW! How're we ever gonna be able to get even close, without that Lonely Planet guide to refer to?

Check it out now. And u other mooters try the Angles and Gauls-ones first. They are pretty easy if give them a long hard think. And if you still think they are too hard use any tourist guide for the particular countries.
