They are frozen shortly after being harvested, preserving the minerals and vitamins present. Fresh veggies will already have lost a bunch of them to thin air. Apparently veggies start losing them the minute they are removed from their source of food, i.e. the stem.

Huh. Fancy!

That's fine by me. The frozen ones don't really taste different to me, and neither has that gross whatever-it-is I'm tasting in the canned food.

yes, I've heard that too about the frozen veggies. I love soups! I wish it wasn't so hot here in Arizona - it shortens the soup season considerably One just can't have soup when it's 120 degrees outside :roll eyes: I suppose I need to get some cold soup recipes.

Well, I just got back from the thyroid needle biopsy ... ouch!

*settles down in a comfy chair and wraps a blanket around herself*

Results in a week.

Ouch, Rian

Those are never fun

No, wait. I'm think of the lymph node biopsies. I'm sure they're both painful. My brother has to go through that yearly

And it's the same here in Arkansas. Well this year we didn't have much of a soup season

Aww, Rian! *moothugs* have some tea.

I'm in need of some tea myself. I'm trying to work out some tongue tension in my singing and it's such tedious, focused work. But I know it's going to do really great things for my voice, so I'm trying to be very, very focused and diligent about doing it.

The good news is the throat and tongue tension is gone from my low voice. The irony is that I'll be singing something, and you'll hear tongue tension in my voice through the middle and high notes, then it will dip down to some low notes and my voice just suddenly goes *WHOOM!!!* and opens up. It makes me laugh to hear it in recordings. It's like "kid-baritone, kid-baritone, kid-baritone, kid-baritone, WHOOOM!!!!, kid-baritone, kid-baritone."

You should try to introduce that as a new style, Tessar - I mean, someone must have made the very first rap some time, before it became accepted as a style - so you could start something completely new

Don't know what you should call your new style, though - "tess", perhaps?

Yeah, I've noticed.

I don't think we often had moments when the only thing you'd hear in the Teacup were crickets.

In the Summer in the east you can't really avoid hearing crickets. They are so loud >_<

I was just talking to an elderly man with a young German Sheppard. Cute! He said he'd come by later. I was a bit confused so I had to ask him why: to collect money for a charity

Despite the fact that I'm in the midst of final projects and studying for final tests of this semester, and that my grades may wind up with a gloomy outlook, I am already looking forward to the summer.

I'm excited! I have some fun plans. I'm going to do more cooking and try to learn how to make a moist chocolate cake, I'm going to reread the Weel of Time series slowly (as in not speed reading like I always do... Bad habit!), and various other summer fun things. I'll still be working and taking summer classes, but I like having that "three month" timeline to sort of get stuff done.

I also saw some awesome swim trunks at target the other day when I had to buy some school supplies, and it made me realize that I haven't used the apartment hot tub or swimming pool yet! Tragedy!!!! I can't wait to try it out.

I still haven't made plans for my summer break. I do want to get out for a bit because I really need to take a real break, but I may also have to move and stuff. Moreover a friend in the UK will get married perhaps somewhere at the end of summer (yeah, very vague on the date, so I can't make any real commitments *sigh*) so I'd like to be there.

Ah summer! Looking forward to it already. Still so many things to plan and it's more difficult this year. Usually my grandparents take up the housesitting, but as my gran's health is more fragile this year, it will be too tough for her and she wouldn't be able to enjoy it as she used to so we have to make other plans.
