It's not Parth Galen.

It is close to Amon Hen, but Legolas says exactly where he shot the Nazgul.

Grey ship, grey ship, do you hear them calling,
The voices of my people that have gone before me?
I will leave, I will leave the woods that bore me;
For our days are ending and our years failing.
I will pass the wide waters lonely sailing.
Long are the waves on the Last Shore falling,
Sweet are the voices in the lost Isle calling,
In Eresëa, in Elvenhome that no man can discover,
Where the leaves fall not: land of my people forever!”

It's what Pippin said to Gandalf after he had looked into the Palantir.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Apparently, Beren, a Dúnadan who was the 19th ruling steward of Gondor (2743 - 63) gave Orthanc to Saruman. (source: Robert Fosters' The Complete Guide To Middle-Earth.)

Errrr, very well.... But I thought we're supposed to guess/tell the right answer.

And I wasn't sure what you were talking about - as I wrote a name of a king from Rohan.

So who's up now?

ok, well it has been several days and no one has opted to take a turn so I am gonna...

In the chapter 'The Departure of Boromir' Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are tracking the uruk-hai who have taken Merry and Pippin captive. But as they hide the last boat and packs they are not carrying and pick up the Orc trail at the glade where Boromir fell Legolas says something about the trail...what does he say?

"No other folk make such a trampling, it seems their delight to slash and beat down growing things that are not even in their way."

"'That, I guess is the language of the Rohirrim,' said Legolas; 'for it is like to this land itself; rich and rolling in part, and else is hard and stern as the mountains. But I cannot guess what it means, save that it is laden with the sadness of Mortal Men.'"
