I remember when I thought you were 12 for some reason :-) It was possible, you know - there were some Mooters that were about that age. I did think you were very precocious!

I was 21 when I joined (oh my god, I was that young! ) easy to switch the two numbers around.
Dunno if we had 12-year olds, I remember 13 being the limit for being allowed to sign up. |

It still cracks me up how I did things here when I joined. I joined solely for the Quote Game (which was much more lively back then). I bookmarked that one thread. I was rather frightened of venturing out into the 'Moot main. I think I was 16 when I joined.

I did! Very hectic though. And I am in the process of buying a car.
How was your Easter?

Hectic too. Family coming over for Easter is always busy.
Plus some babysitting on the nephews for the holidays. They're so cute, but -I swear- run on some invisible high-yield energy source! Also, finishing the papers for the end of the financial year at work and they've made a proper mess of it this time. Bloody 'new' computer system... It's been installed two years ago, they're still working out the bugs. Good luck with the car! (Exciting!) Any make that has your preference? |

Mari, that's awesome. Why the car now? I've had to drive anywhere I want to go since I was 16, never lived near public transport. I've been considering the possibility of trying to take a bus to work lately, but to get to the bus stop I'd have to drive "off" my regular rout to work, and then I think getting back home in the evening would take even longer because I'm getting off the bus, back in the car, and fighting traffic back home.
Might be worth it for overall gasoline savings, though, and the real reason I want to do it is so I can spend the ride time reading or doing research. I'll have to keep looking into it. |

Earn, a Mazda Demio. I like the high seat, it's an automatic, not a stick shift and the few times I drove one, I felt confident.
Tessar, I've never needed a car. Our public transport network is rather good. However, I'm trying to get pregnant and with a baby and two cats it's just a lot easier to have a car.

I think I stuck around the RPG forums a lot. Didn't venture out into the rest of the 'Moot for months. I was 19 when I joined. Which just made me realized I've been here for almost 10 years Holy Wow!

We definitely had at least one 12 year old. His name... was Tesseract12. In other news, I broke down and bought a ps vita the other day... basically a gameboy. I'm so in love with it already... I really missed playing video games with real control sticks and buttons instead of my phone's touch screen. I'm playing an RPG called Child of Light and it's so beautiful. Everything is painted watercolor style with stained glass influences in the design. It's really beautiful and, to quote a reviewer, the storyline plays out like remembering a bedtime story. I'm really enjoying it. |

Found out from a friend you can also get it via Steam for PC and (I think) Mac. I cannot recommend it highly enough... I've probably played about 10 hours on it already and it's just charming and whimsical without being pure fluff. The storyline is engaging, the characters are interesting without a bunch of heavy back story, and I love it so far. Highly, highly recommended!!! |

I played it on PC and I really didn't like it. To each his own I guess.
I was considering buying a PSvita, but bought a Nintendo 3DS instead, based on the available games. I'm a huge Harvest Moon fan and that's only on the n3ds. I also bought some great RPGs like Etrian Odyssey and Dragon Quest. Oh, and Pokemon Ruby Red. It looks great and has the feel of the early Pokemon games. Might get the new Zelda game too once it's about a year old or so. I also love that I can buy and play all the old 2nd hand Nintendo DS games. A lot cheaper and fun. Oh, I also have Disney: a Magical World. I just couldn't resist. It's quite fun and has a lot of free seasonal content.
