What the heck? Someone just called me at 1:40am, said something unintelligible, then called me an asshole and hung up. And I have no idea who it was (Restricted No, don't recognize the voice). I'm very confused...

I feel better today, but REALLY tired. Most of the 'feeling sick' is gone (still got narsty drainage going to my throat/stomach, and a really stuffed up nose), but I'm soooo freaking tired for some reason.

I would skip class, except that I made a promise to myself not to fall behind at all this semester, and I'm trying to get straight A's.

So I'm making a compromise and skipping math (since it's still in the review stages), and I'm going to watch my Drugs and Society on the internet when they post up the video, since at this point there isn't much to ask questions about and we're just covering the history of how drugs developed (we left off at the Civil War...). But I'm still going to my teaching class, and I'm just going to sit and listen in choir. I may cancel my 3:30 accompanist practice session, because that's probably going to turn out to be way too much for me... yesterday when I tried to sing my voice was unsteady, and I started sweating BUCKETS from the exertion of getting it to sound halfway-normal at all.

The "some reason" would be that your body is busy fighting a virus when you call on it to go gallivanting.

Take care, please.

Being tired isn't fun. I hope you get your energy back soon! *cuddles*
Oh, and it sounds like you're doing the right thing with the classes. Yay!

Trying to find someone who knows anything about male tap shoes sizes is a pain in the rear.

Okay, so I ordered a 15, and it turns out that a 15 in this brand is equal to a 9.5 in men's street shoes (supposedly--I don't have a 9.5 men's shoe to check it against). I found another site which will let me order it up to a size 20.

Now one site says that you should order up 5 sizes from your street shoe. Meaning I'd want an 18. But another site (for the exact same shoe) says to order up 7 sizes. So I'd need a 20.

I'm extremely flummoxed ATM. I don't want to go to the dance store and order some in, because they'll charge me $90+ for a shoe that I can get an equivalent of online for under $60 (including shipping and tax). But if I make another mistake in the shoe size, then the difference between the $60 and the $90 is going to be something like five bucks what with shipping and all.

This is extremely frustrating, and means that (assuming I'm feeling physically up for tap class) I'm going to have gone through three classes wearing shoes that DON'T ACTUALLY TAP, and I may end up going through four or five without proper shoes. ARGH.

Then go to a good store to get advice, try some shoes on, find out which ones you like, and then go home to buy them online.
Good luck!

The stores don't have them in sizes that large--they would have to actually order the shoes in, and if they do that I would feel rather obligated to go ahead and buy them considering that there probably -isn't- anyone else in this city who'd need a shoe that size for tap. Apparently. -_-

Well, I don't know how shoestores in the US work, but here they 'order' them in between the shops (of one brand). So if shop A needs a size 17 and shop B has them, shop B will send them to shop A and shop A will send them to shop C if they aren't sold and shop C needs them.
I would feel guilty about it too, but to the shop it won't matter much.

Well, here they'd be ordering them from the distributor, and mostly they make you pay in advance. ime.

Has this class been taught before? Maybe you can find a bigfoot who took it recently and no longer needs his shoes.

Also, about ordering dance shoes, particularly men's dance shoes. They lie. chronically. And your store will be ordering them from the same place you are, and they'll lie to them, too. Everything says 'in stock, usually ships in 3-5 business days' until they ship your sweat band and send an email to your junk folder that says, "Your order number 0563842 has been shipped. The following items #BS304.BLK men's tap shoes, size 14 is on backorder. This item will be shipped when available, at no extra charge."

Message me at t'other place. I'll hook you up.

I'm looking for a particular tie... I saw a guy wearing it on a TV show called Entourage, and it's a cream colored tie with polka dots... but not the usual obnoxious kind, they were smaller, and more sparsely spaced on the tie. I thought it looked great, and I usually HATE polka dot ties.

Only I've checked tons of web sites... e-bay, target, wal-mart, men's wearhouse, macy's, etc. and the sites for just about every designer brand that I could find. No one has a tie that even vaguely resembles it! I'd love to have it to wear, but at this point there's a tiny part of me that just wants to find something like it for the SAKE of finding it.

Usually shows work with certain people who do the clothes and these people usually work with specific brands. If you can find out who is the stylist for the show and what brands they use, it should be easier.
Try searching through a fan-forum. They should know that sort of stuff. Or the website of the show, or the website/blog of the stylist himself.
Good luck

And over here (I do not know whether they do this in America too) in the credits of most programs with presentators, there's often a mention of the stylist or the shop where the clothes the presentators wore, came from.

I just found out that my transcripts never got to Notre Dame! Grar! And the deadline is the 1st! Hopefully I can talk them into some sort of arrangement...

And my stupid tutor's letters of recommendations are not there yet! Grar again!

You know, the problem with sleeping so much as such different moments, is that your sleepingpatterns get messed up. Don't get me wrong, I still sleep about 12 to 16 hours in total, but I am totally awake now and it's 23.26... and then I wake up in the middle of the night and stuff like that.
*sigh* First new testresults in tomorrow. Lets wait and see.
