I've had some difficulties with that myself, always pronounced it ai-a which I think should be correct.

First, I can't find that word anywhere.

Second, you'd have to pronounce ALL of the letters. So it would be AhYEE-iah. But like I said, I haven't seen this word anywhere.

Isn't it from the Elfish variant of "Hail Eärendil, brighest of stars"? I think that started with "Aiya Eärendil".

Ah... ok... "Aiya" not "Ayia". Big difference there.

Then that would be pronounced, AhI-ya. That's not so hard to pronounce.

Anwa san...

I'll try to put it bluntly in English...

"Tultal sinya ohtar?"
You bring (a) new soldier?
"Varya le, sina úva."
To protect you, this does not.
"Norwegean-haccalya ná salquë."
Your Norwegean-ass is grass.

Can't remember everything either.

That's basicly what meant, but I'm horrible at writing words the way they're pronounced (the way you described it is about how I pronounce it).

Nehheh. I didn't even notice the ayia-aiya difference. I just typed the way I remembered it.

That was very confusing, spelling it so wrong like that.

The only mistake I did was forgetting the y-sound.

That should be imperative _Á cenda_. (var ëa "to watch" ).

'ëa' is the name of the universe, it shouldn't be used as 'it is', IMO.

'ëa' has been generally used the same way as German 'es gibt' or Spanish 'hay'. I agree, it gets a bit confusing but I thought it fitted better with 'ëa' here than 'ná' when I wrote it. But it is used as a verb in Quenya, see '...i Eru i or ilyë mahalmar ëa tennoio' in Cirion's oath ("...the One who/that above all thrones is forever").
