The spot the dr. removed from my nose was biopsied and came back as a basal cell cancer (the mildest kind) - they'll have to take me back in and cut off more to get a better margin

I like my nose ... *sniff*

thanks, guys! I"m not looking forward to it ... but it should be a few stitches and then ok, and the little depression will fill in over time. I'm praying the second biopsy will come back clear, or else they'll have to do a THIRD!

Anti-vent: I got a job

thanks, GW, Valaru (welcome!) and sunny!

Has anyone else had to deal with skin cancer stuff? Get those moles checked, guys!

Nel - your wording of your first vent and then the anti-vent made me laugh - bummer that the solution to your first vent IS getting a job, isn't it??!

Heh, yeah, it's the solution.. It's a nice job, so I'm not complaining!

Today's vent: I broke my computer last night. I was going by bike to work, in the wind and the snowfall, on the black ice.. I had my computer with me, because I thought I'd get some words in my NaNoWriMo-novel (I don't have that many tasks.. Mainly checking that no one that shouldn't be there enters the school). Well, I fell, and now my computer doesn't work: it starts, but nothing happens. Oh well, I can only blame my own stupidity. I can't afford to fix it now, so.. :/

Hey, the vent thread is on the second page!

I'll fix that ...

Vent - I'm grumpy today, and it's always irritated me, since the first time I saw it in high school, when people use foreign language phrases when
1) they aren't in that country, and
2) they aren't around people from that country, and
3) they aren't from that country.

It just seems like a total affectation, and it irks me.

Sometimes, it just becomes second-nature. I remember I used to just naturally use the Russian words for a lot of things, and I now say "grazzi" instead of "thank you" without a thought. I still say "metro" instead of the more common "subway". In fact, the word "subway" even throws me off a little bit.

Good thing Latin phrases are spoken worldwide, then.

Vent: I have to keep alternating the USB port my mouse is in because it keeps dying. It's not normal behavior, especially for a non-wireless mouse.

Tons of homework to catch up on....*sigh* Oh well.

Here's something else though: my ipod keeps acting like it's empty when I know that the battery doesn't run out that fast. If I leave it off for a while, the battery builds back up, and it's fine...until it decides that it is "empty" again, which starts the whole process over again.

I know I've said it before, but I say it again: I do not like jealousy. Why can't people who claim to love you be happy for you when you are happy?
