I just looked up Igmar Bergman... he's still alive it seems. And there's no mention of him trying to commit suicide.
I don't know why, but for some reason I used to think he was German. Wow... I'm embarrassed. He grew up in a strict household, his father was a Lutheran minister. Seems as though I don't know any of his films, but I know his name. The only Swedish film I think I've ever seen was one in which there was a family that came over to America and only the father spoke a little bit of English. They went out west to the frontier to become farmers and their life was very hard. In the end, the wife dies, I think of cancer. Not sure. The movie was almost entirely subtitles. I wish I could remember the name of the movie. |

Oh, and I just tried to search for the movie I was talking about, the one I saw on cable a few years ago.. it stars Liv Ullmann and Max Von Sydow... and it's either one of these two movies... Utvandrarna ("The Emigrants", 1971) or The New Land (1972) |

The movies are rather old, they were made in the early 70's. |

Trop de norvegiens. Aussi trop d'anglophones. Go home. *sigh* This is just sad, there just isn't anyone who would understand the meaning and origin of 'Entmoet Vlaams'. *pouts and feels misunderstood*
