OMG!!!!! I just got this awesome singing book and, without warming up my voice at all, I nailed a G4# (the G# above Middle C, for those who have a little musical knowledge) with very little effort, although I did crack on the A4.

YAY! This book is AMAZIN'!!! I've always struggled some to sing things above the C4, but I'm hoping that with some of the techniques from this book, plus of course my teacher's good ear and guidance, that I'll be able to turn that G# into something I can really use. That would open up SO much repertoire for me, vocally speaking.

I'm happy, because I just got myself my first systems camera (Canon EOS 400D).. So now I'm poor and happy.

I'm also happy, not because I'm getting a cold, but because I'm trying to cure it with rum.. X)

I'm happy because it did rain but it isn't now.
Both necessary.

OMG.

I am almost (-almost-) equal parts thrilled to death, and pissed as all get out.

I FIGURED OUT MY MATH.

I was slugging through my homework, when it was like... this LIGHT just came on. Everything I've been doing over the summer semester suddenly MAKES SENSE, and I can -see- how the stuff I was doing in the beginning of the class connects to what we're working on now, and how you can apply it to this stuff to make it all easier. Suddenly I'm flying through problems I wasn't able to solve before, and just looking ahead, I can solve the ones I didn't understand how to even begin on before.

On the other hand, I'm sitting pretty on a low D grade because I absolutely didn't get, and couldn't understand, the crap before. I tried working at it, and different angles, and getting people to help me, but I could only do the problems if they followed certain exact formulas--throwing in anything new totally threw me off, and then I would forget how it all worked together by the next time I sat down to do homework.

So I have a chance, maybe, of making a C in the class now if I can keep pulling it all together. Which friggin' sucks. I was busting my ass in the hopes of getting an A, and then of just not failing. So now I'm pretty sure that, if I could go back and do it over, I'd be acing those tests.

ARGH. But YAY.

Good for you, between maths and me it never quite worked out.

I'm happy because I spent most of the evening compiling a butterfly and dragonfly guide of all the insects I've been able to photograph so far. I'm halfway through it and I'm half cross-eyed from looking them up (bug'ring butterflies all look alike). But I've got 13 different species so far, over six different families and that's a lot more than I've thought. I've even photographed three new species last month. It's no doubt geeky, but I'm happy.

I sucked at algebra all through highschool, but I'm pretty sure it's because I was really lazy and never studied back then, because I took an (elementary, true) algebra course this summer, and aced it.

Awwww, baby!

I'm just happy my major congestion is gone. Now if I could only stop coughing, and if this sinus pressure went away, life would be -perfect-.
