I went to the mall incognito on Black Friday but I was stil recognized by a student. I had jeans, t-shirt, a big hoodie, and a hat so I didn't look teachery as I usually do but it wasn't fooling them. Last time I went into Hot Topic I wore my sunglasses inside, too, but I doubt that helped much and it gave me a headache...

Just so you guys know, being around me is like free entertainment. Those who experience me probably feel, like, super blessed to know me and whatnot.

For example, this is just a tiny sample of some of the hilarity that ensued tonight.

Choir director: "So, they're thinking about moving the start time on Sundays earlier... I know, you guys aren't going to like this... but 7:45."

*a moment of stunned silence from the paid section leaders*

Me: "But... then when will I do my hair?"

A little later....

Director: "I'm fighting to make sure it's not this early, but in some cases maybe even 7:30 a.m. for the warmup."

*more slightly stunned/dazed silence*

Me: "... so what you're trying to say is that on Sunday mornings I'll have time to either exfoliate, OR moisturize, but not both?"

I crack me up, and luckly the people around me are kind enough to laugh.

I'm glad you're at least cracking yourself up.

I finished painting my clock! Didn't fashion the wood nor the machinery, but it's all designed and painted by me.

I'll have to remember that if I ever get called for jury duty. Sounds like a really good idea! It sounds kinda of like that old show M.A.S.H. where the one guy tried to get out of the military by acting like he was crazy.

*drags herself in for a scalding hot cup of tea*

Have been having this bloody cold for 10 days now. No fun.

Am expecting packages that don't come. Don't tell me the post doesn't deliver packages because of the snow!

Other than that, I'm fine. Tea anyone?

Yes, thanks. I'll have a nice cup of Lady Grey, to go with all the cheap chocolates I've bought.

Apparently, today is "Family Day" in Canada. I tried to go to the LCBO, and drop off some things at the dry cleaners, but no go; a lot of stuff is closed. Fortunately, the drug store with half-priced chocolate was not.

"And we're back on M.O.O.T. 102,2 with the Moots playing Hep Stars' classic Brand New Cadillac slightly changed..."

Earniel drove up in a Brand new Cadillac
I said Earniel drove up in a Brand new Cadillac
She said listen to me daddy, I ain't never comin' back

Earnie, Earnie, won't you hear my plea
C'mon sugar just hear my plea

She said balls to ya daddy
She ain't comin back to me
Earnie, Earnie, won't won't you hear my plea
C'mon sugar just hear my plea

She said balls to ya daddy
She ain't comin back to me

A Cadillac pulled up about ninety-five
I said a Cadillac pulled up about ninety-five
I said get a grip baby you won't take me out alive

Earniel drove up in a Brand new Cadillac
I said jesus baby where'd you get the Cadillac
She said balls to ya daddy
I ain't never comin' back

I ain't never comin' back x 4

Has anyone ever tried the Bloody Mary in the mirror game thing? I'm trying really hard to get over my fear of mirrors... I think it might help to hear some stories.

"And we're back on M.O.O.T. 102,2 with the Moots playing this Bee Gees' tune especially for Katya..."

When i was a girl, all the books i read
I followed like a blind man
To heed the words my father said
Those golden summers faded into night, words become a dream
The echoes of my childhood and where the path is winding

May god bless you, keep you safe from harm
I stand by you always
Time and motion
Hands touch, lips find a way to heaven on high

Watch the children play, the child becomes a man
And all the tangled webs we weave
You swear it as you live and breathe
We stay together, death until you part
Winner takes the prize
The future's at your fingertips, right before your eyes

(chorus)

No more sorrows
(smoke and mirrors)
No more nights with no end
(i really learned a lot, smoke and mirrors)
I see my tomorrows

And nothing from nothing
And ashes to ashes they say
All the more that you reach out
The more that it runs away

(smoke and mirrors)

(chorus)

No more goodbyes
(that's all i ever got, smoke and mirrors)
No lies, you find your way there
(show me what she's got, smoke and mirrors)
Heaven on high

May god bless you, keep you from all harm
I stand my you always

Time and motion
(smoke and mirrors)
Hands touch, lips find a way to
(that's all i ever got, smoke and mirrors)
Heaven on high

No more sorrows
(i really learned a lot, smoke and mirrors)
No more nights with no end
(show me what shes got, smoke and mirrors)
I rise or i fall

No more goodbyes
(she really makes me hot, smoke and mirrors)
No lies, you find a way there
Heaven on high

No thank you, I like to not tempt fate.

Oh sure, the chances that I'm actually living in a horror movie are slim, but why take that chance?

For instance when I'm afraid someone might kill me, I never, ever, ever, EVER turn off the radio/Christmas music/cheery classical tune because we all know that the second you do, someone pops out and kills you.

Call me paranoid, but I'd like to point out that thus far I have managed to keep from getting killed. So there ya go.

Kidding.
